Macho ya dunia yatakuwa Tanzania on Dec 9. TUTASHINDA!! God is on our side. We shall win.
Hakuna kurudi nyuma…..
A message from our Chairman @TunduALissu, sent from inside Ukonga Prison, where he continues the fight for Tanzania’s freedom:
Tanzania is sliding back into outright dictatorship under Samia Suluhu — more entrenched, more brazen, and more repressive than even the Magufuli era.
CHADEMA is being systematically dismantled: leaders jailed, party funding strangled, and national elections effectively banned until 2030.
The 2025 elections unleashed state-sanctioned violence: peaceful citizens were shot, abducted, tortured, and killed under a deliberate, nationwide internet blackout.
This regime has no democratic legitimacy: AU, SADC, and international observers agree — the elections failed the most basic standards of credibility.
A democratic uprising is underway: Tanzanians, especially the youth, have crossed the Rubicon — and they will not be intimidated back into silence.

Statement Regarding Meta’s Response to CNN’s @LarryMadowo
Meta has informed CNN’s Larry Madowo that my Instagram account was deactivated for violating their recidivism policy. This claim is inaccurate. It appears to serve as a post-hoc justification for actions taken following significant pressure from the Tanzanian government to suppress voices speaking on behalf of the public.
As of December 3rd, 2025—the day my Instagram account @mangekimambi80 was removed—my Account Status dashboard listed only four violations:
⸻
1. Alleged “Hate Speech” Violation
This was an AI moderation error. The automated system appears to have misinterpreted the language used. Anyone familiar with my work knows that I have never engaged in hate speech. The post discussed events in Tanzania, and I was not provided the option to request a review.
⸻
2. Post Government Corruption
This post included a blurred screenshot of a leaked bank message showing large financial transfers involving members of President Samia Suluhu’s family and their associates. The purpose was to highlight potential corruption, and all private information was intentionally obscured.
Notably, the Tanzanian government did not publicly deny the substance of these allegations.
⸻
3. Post on Government Corruption
This post showed a bank balance under the name of the son of Angela Kizigha, a close associate of President Samia Suluhu, who has previously faced corruption allegations. Again, the intent was to raise awareness of possible misuse of public office.
Once again, no public denial or clarification was issued by the government regarding the authenticity of the information.
⸻
4. Video of a 2025 Rolls Royce Cullinan in Dar es Salaam
This video documented a brand-new Rolls Royce Cullinan allegedly owned by Suleiman Mombo, head of Tanzania’s intelligence agency (TISS). The post sought to raise questions about potential misuse of public funds.
Neither Mr. Mombo nor the Tanzanian government publicly disputed the ownership of the vehicle.
⸻
These four posts were the only violations listed on my account prior to its removal. None of them warranted strikes, and all were clearly within the realm of public-interest reporting. If Meta added additional violations moments before deactivation—of which I was not notified—this would contradict their own policy stating that simultaneous strikes should count as a single violation.
Is Meta suggesting that these four posts justify deactivating a major public-interest account relied on by millions for news, transparency, and the protection of fundamental rights? It is difficult to believe that these four posts alone triggered such an extreme action.
⸻
Call for Transparency from Meta
In the interest of the Tanzanian people and the international community, Meta must be transparent about which specific violations allegedly triggered its recidivism policy.
I hereby grant Meta full legal permission to disclose to reputable media outlets and journalists any and all violations associated with:
•my Instagram account @mangekimambi80,
•my news platform @wananchiforum, and
•my WhatsApp account +1 (424) 537-3057,
that were used to justify the decision to deactivate these accounts.
I also want to inform the public that all videos and photos documenting the recent violence against Tanzanian youth—shared on this X page—were submitted to me through the WhatsApp account mentioned above. Many citizens relied on this channel after police warnings that sharing such material could lead to arrest.
⸻
Context on Digital Censorship in Tanzania
Meta is currently the only major social media platform operatin inside Tanzania.
Both X and TikTok have been blocked—accessible only through VPN—after allegedly refusing to cooperate with efforts to silence critics.
I understand Meta operates as a business, but given the severity of the human rights situation in Tanzania, the company has a responsibility to prioritize the protection of fundamenta
