Yesterday was Day 4 of my IGF-1 LR3 experiment.

No Temp Target on my pump. Pinned 40mcg right when I got home from the gym. Ate the same meal I've been eating every day of this experiment. Gave myself the full amount of insulin I would usually give myself for the meal that I ate.

As you can see from my blood sugar graph (yes... it looks different bec I got a new insulin pump), I had a quick drop in BS, followed by a rise (I drank Gatorade to bring up my BS), but the peak was sharp and short-lived.

The rest of the night I remained in range.

I really feel like I'm close to dialing this in.

Next time I will bolus 80% of the usual required insulin.

Day 3 of researching IGF-1 LR3 yesterday.

I pinned 40mcg around 8pm. This time I didn't set my pump to Temp Target. I kept everything as is. I bolused (gave myself insulin) for the food I ate, but I kept it conservative because I didn't want to crash. You can see a spike just after 10:30pm.

Then, the bottom fell out. I'm hypothesising that I gave myself too much insulin for the meal that I ate. I corrected my low BS with Gatorade. Once corrected, you can see my blood sugarblevels were stable and have been since.

My next experiment I will keep the dosage at 40mcg and continue to leave my pump settings the same. I will lower my bolus until I find the the proper amount for my meal.

Just FYI, I drink the same protein shake and eat the same meal every time I experiment with this compund, so I can keep the variables as unchanged as possible.
