The inclusion of #Together4Yes in #Time100 is a massive international recognition. This award is for everyone in our movement. Together, we changed Ireland. Our campaign will serve as hope for all those still fighting for their rights - change is possible https://t.co/11d79ts1jk
Linked up with @WHO recently for a short clip to raise awareness on the importance of receiving the HPV vaccine. Thank you so much to everyone involved. #WorldCancerDay#protectourfuture#cervivor
One sided doctor, admin. and hospital centric piece. Again. No focus on the patient. The women who have benefited already. The reason the service exists. No patient safety threatened by new service. Care already better. Not mentioned. Indeed not one opinion evidenced by a quote.
We are continuing with preparations to introduce our medical abortion services during January. As part of this, our Liffey Street clinic will close for staff training at 1pm on Thursday, 3rd January. It will reopen at 4 pm. @freesafelegal@AbortionSupport@NWCI
First time I took part in a political campaign was in 1983 when I knocked on doors in Limerick asking people to vote against the 8th amendment, today, 35 years later, it is gone! Ireland is a better place 🇨🇮
Tonight Dáil Éireann has passed legislation to legalise abortion in Ireland. On to the Seanad now. I think of all the women who have had to travel to receive care - we say, no more. The people have spoken. Care and compassion in our own country
Weird headline. At least 300 GPs stayed, listened, discussed this issue for 4 hours.
‘At least 40 GPs walk out of meeting on abortion services’ https://t.co/OXj5XXRmZQ
Doctors and healthcare professionals have a right to conscientious objection. Women also have a right to healthcare though. One right cannot trump another. Just like all citizens, doctors have different views and that’s ok. But the people have spoken and the campaign is over
I miscarried for the third time this week, today I am in work caring for people in a manner I would wish to be cared for #WeWillProvide compassion dignity and respect #freesafelegal
Launched @whiteribbonirl campaign today. Buy a ribbon on the 25th November stating that you will never commit, excuse or remain silent about domestic violence. This is a reality for far too many in our country. It must stop. Play your part
The amazing @amanda_mellet receiving her award from the Center for Reproductive Rights in New York last week. She took on the Irish government, won her case & was instrumental in us getting to a referendum. Well done Mandy!
