@meathead@sciencegirl Average risk is more like 4%, but what if it runs in your family? Then you definitely want to know about things like this. Say you have a 25% baseline risk, that 18% increase starts to sound pretty scary.
@timmmess@MidwestGolfJake I think thatβs marketing BS, which is almost crazier (why does that sell your shoes??). I have some and itβs usually ~100 miles before it gets to be a real difference, not βdoneβ but slower.
@RodeoProfessor Are the dams used for anything over there? In the northeast we have a bunch of useless old dams that are slowly being removed because they cause these problems plus flooding. You can kill the seals but theyβre a symptom of the dam problem
@zbitter Bill Rodgers walked at water stops (and tied his shoes) when he ran 2:09 to win Boston in β75. IMO probably not ideal, but pretty minimal time lost compared to even a small blowup
