It's #VolunteersWeek! THANK YOU to all our volunteers who make our work possible. People like @claremarshall_ a diver with @_Seasearch & @mcsuk#SeaChampion helping us understand #seagrass and how we can protect it.

Happy #WorldSeagrassDay 💚🌱🌱🌱💚
Seagrass is such an important habitat forming species, providing a nursery ground for fish species, stabilising sediment and storing carbon!
So many reasons to protect and conserve Seagrass around the world 🌎

Whatever you are up to today in the sea, from working, playing, traveling past or on, reading about it or just watching the waves roll by, whatever you choose, have a great day near the big blue 😎🌊
Last autumn we won funds from the Channel Islands COOP to assess the blue carbon of some of the Bailiwick’s #eelgrass beds 🙌 our results are finally out 👀
Huge thanks to Channel Islands Co-operative & our @beepresearch

My course this year at @thegsyinstitute went swimmingly well. I’m egg-cited to have confirmed dates for new courses running in Spring 2026, including fieldwork!
With special thanks to @Guernsey_NC for Strategy for Nature Funding, which I have used to buy books and classroom materials. And to all the organisations and projects who have supported this course in some way so far ☺️💚💙
