@pududeer why dont you use it? you are using other models like Claude etc...? i dont understand? is it some kind of flex of not using AI? (you are kidding right)?
Bitcoin self-custody isn’t really that hard (2026 edition)
- Buy 3 different hardware devices.
- Have them mailed using fake names.
- Deliver to a random P.O. Box.
- Disassemble each one.
- Inspect them for manipulation.
- Review the device firmware with SI.
- Roll dice 100x for sufficient entropy.
- Pound each seed phrase into metal.
- Geographically distribute them.
- Download a desktop wallet.
- Pray your PC isn’t compromised.
- Generate a receive address.
- Send your entire life savings in one go.
- Sweat bullets for 10-30 min.
- Tell no one you did any of this.
- Fear being wrench attacked forever.
- Make fun of others who don’t self custody
Why isn’t everyone doing this?
Dear potential robbers at Solana Breakpoint London 2026,
Please know I’m bringing no ledgers, no watches, no chains, no cash, no crypto in my hot wallets or anything of actual value.
I also hold Ethereum and my bags haven’t gone up since 2021.
Robbing me would literally be a waste of gas fees.
Thanks for understanding.
we might now know how the attackers found the UK guy who got robbed for $800K at knifepoint this morning
he confirmed he banks with revolut
revolut had a data breach a few months ago. hackers used a fake government email to trick revolut into handing over customer data
names, home addresses, phone numbers, passport photos and full crypto transaction history
so if you’re a criminal and you have that data you know exactly who holds crypto, how much they have, and where they live
you don’t need to hack anything. you just show up at their door
someone on CT connected the dots today and honestly it makes too much sense
the attackers didn’t randomly pick a house. they knew who he was. they knew what he had. they knew where to find him
all from a data breach that happened months ago. that everyone forgot about because revolut said “your funds are safe”
your funds were safe bro. your home address wasn’t
and this is probably not the last time someone’s front door gets kicked in because a company leaked their data
data breaches aren’t just about losing passwords. sometimes the cost shows up at your house with a knife
Если ты бьёшь жену каждый день, то у неё будет одно требование: «Пожалуйста, не бей меня».
Если ты не бьёшь свою жену, то у неё появляется целый список требований.
@vctbtc@Trezor i dont think HW wallets are done, just make them transparent and ALL components easily visible and include detail photos online and in the package so people know how it should look like with a warning to look at the oficial adress to see the REAL DESIGN.
@joeybeastmarket LOL no! Just happened to me yesterday... suddenly after a long chat he started putting smiles in every 1st sentence... on a free accoutn though... so i believe during the long chat the model was downgraded to some dumber who used these
Having been the only country to dox all known crypto holders to organised crime groups, France now wants a list of everyone holding €100k+ of Bitcoin in self-custody
If you don't declare it: €10,000 fine
If you do declare it: Wrench attack / kidnapping
Can't make it up
