Today, on International Women’s Day, the @YCDP_CH celebrates the strength, resilience, and leadership of women and girls around the world. Their voices, ideas, and actions are essential in building inclusive societies, advancing dialogue, and sustaining peace.
The next generation won’t “wait its turn.”
We’re building the table in Istanbul.
At a time of interconnected global challenges, from climate change to social inequality, GYSS 2026 aims to catalyze a new wave of youth-led, peace-centered sustainable action.
May this new year bring renewed hope, meaningful dialogue, & collective action toward peace, inclusion and understanding.Together, let us continue empowering youth to be voices of change and builders of a more just and peaceful future.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
At the 80th UNGA, Mr. Yama Sukhanyar will represent the YCDP at the High-level Meeting to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth. He aims to amplify the voices of young people, foster dialogue, build cooperation, and promote meaningful action.
This is more than a summit, it’s a global call to action. A space where young changemakers, activists, innovators, and visionaries from across the world connect, collaborate, and co-create solutions for a more inclusive and peaceful future.

So many young lives filled with promise and passion to learn and serve their nation have been upended, uprooted, and dispalced by protracted conflicts of geopolitics. Sudan is where youth's dreams have been buried indefinitely, as state sponsors of various warring sides refuse to give sustainable peace a chance in the country. @YCDP_CH

"Young people!" Youth and their leaders must be involved in every national, regional, and global effort to work together today and tomorrow for sustainable peace and development solutions and their consistent implementation worldwide. A world led by younger leadership is a better and safer world for all. @YCDP_CH@UNYouthAffairs@IYC@UN@antonioguterres
I had the privilege of representing the Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace-YCDP at the @Doha Forum 2024, held on December 7–8 under the powerful theme, "The Innovation Imperative."
The experience of witnessing the gathering of distinguished leaders and experts from around the world was both enriching and inspiring. The forum provided an invaluable opportunity for meaningful discussions and the exchange of ideas concerning pressing global challenges.
The connections made, ideas exchanged, and initiatives explored during these two days have left me optimistic about the future. I am more determined than ever to integrate the lessons learned into our efforts, ensuring that innovation remains at the heart of our mission to empower the next generation.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers, speakers, and fellow attendees for making this experience so meaningful. As we move forward, let us continue to leverage innovation as a tool for unity and positive change.

Afghan youth leaders have demonstrated that they can elevate Afghanistan in ways the older generation leaders never have attempted but have mostly failed their suffering people. We at @YCDP_CH work to empower Afghan youth and contribute to their leadership development. @AYLO_AF@UNYouthAffairs@IbrahimiNila
🌍🤝 Strengthening International Partnerships for Youth Empowerment! 🤝🌍
On November 5th, the Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace (YCDP) was honored to host a delegation from the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center (SMYC) as part of our YCDP International Youth Program.
It was an absolute pleasure to moderate the panel on "Pathways to Peace: Empowering Young Women as Agents of Change." The conversation was truly inspiring, with such powerful insights from our incredible panelists on how young women are leading efforts to promote peace and drive meaningful change in their communities. I'm grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to this important discussion.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the organizers(OSCE-Geneva Centre for Security Policy-WIIS Italy) for facilitating such a timely and important discussion. Your dedication to creating a platform that amplifies these important voices is truly commendable. Together, we are paving the way for a future where young women continue to serve as impactful leaders and agents of peace and progress.

Recently spoke to @Ziaferozpur of @AFIntlRadio about the @UN Security Council meeting on Afghanistan. A few key points:
- Member-states delivered remarks expressing their views on the gross violations of human rights in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, including the enforcement of PVPV and the growing presence of regional and global terrorist networks in the country.
- No tangible measures were offered to be adopted under the UN Charter and numerous UNSC resolutions on the protection of human rights and counter-terrorism, including under the UN Global Counterterrorism Strategy.
- Member-states remained divided on their engagement with and support for the Taliban, especially considering the competing and confronting powers represented in the UNSC P5 and their respective allies.
- My conclusion: The Afghan people would continue suffering from the status quo unless Taliban-ruled Afghanistan begins threatening the national security interests of regional and extra-regional players, who might then act against the militant group in self-interest.
Therefore, this situation calls for further advocacy by the Afghan people, asking the world to support their causes for achieving sustainable peace and development, consistent with the UN Charter, the interests of major powers, regional stability, and international peace and security.
