Dr. Yan Liu’s laboratory at the Northwestern University is interested in investigating hematopoietic stem cells and Hematologic malignancies, CHIP, MDS, AML
Excited to share our new study published online today @CD_AACR. Beyond mutagenesis, we show that LINE-1 locus-specific transcription reshapes 3D genome architecture to control cancer gene expression @JianXuLab@StJudeResearch

My lab together with @AbdelWahablab published a paper recently in JCI reporting that mutant p53 drives clonal hematopoiesis through generating a chronic inflammatory micro environment. Our work suggests that curbing inflammation may prevent the progression of CHIP to leukemia.
The Liu lab was established on November 1, 2010. 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of the Liu lab. I like to take this opportunity to thank my mentors, trainees, collaborators, friends and family for their support over the years! Looking forward to the next 15th anniversary!
Celebrating a MPI (Liu/Yue/ Sukhanova) R01 from NCI, which started in December 10. It is a great collaboration between @YanLiu_Lab ,@yuefeng_1 , and @MadinaSukhanova at Northwestern University @NUFeinbergMed and @LurieCancer ! We are looking forward to continued collaboration.
