@JPuncut The power you feel when you type things like this comes from neither you nor God. May He enlighten you to understand the nature of spiritual warfare so that you may overcome the enemy instead of being his mouthpiece.
Mary gave up nothing for us. Christ ALONE laid down His own life (Sola Christus).
John 10:17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again.
18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
It is truly meet to bless you, O Theotokos. Ever-blessed and most pure and the Mother of our God.
More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim.
Without corruption you gave birth to God the Word.
True Theotokos we magnify you.
@MerlesWorld I totally agree. The fact they interrupted each other so they could pile on questions proved they didn't ask b/c they wanted to hear the answer. They don't care what EO's actually believe. They just want to pile on
Protestants harp how they only participate in God's finished work on the cross and that our works are filthy rags
They apply the filthy rags label to baptism
Only one problem: baptism is God's work of salvation
They think God's work is filthy menstrual rags
When St. Athanasius made his Canon list, he made two categories: Canon and 'Readable' (what Caths call Deuterocanon). Canon books were the real deal: Torah, Gospel, etc. Readable means it's safe and recommended for catechumens, like Wisdom or Tobit. 1 Enoch isn't on either list.
