Should approaching a leashed dog next to its owner in an aggressive way, knowing it may trigger the animal’s natural instinct to protect its human, not be considered reckless endangerment and animal provocation?

Should animal abuse motivated by religious superstition that considers dogs “impure” not be treated as a heinous crime?

Why do we tolerate that immediate arrest, prosecution, and permanent deportation are not the standard response for those who harm or provoke animals in the countries that welcomed them?

Isn’t it time to reject cultural relativism and enforce basic civilized standards?

If a religion teaches fear or hatred of dogs, do such individuals truly belong in modern Western societies?

🚨 ROMANIAN MEP DEMANDS VON DER LEYEN'S "IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION."

Romanian MEP Cristian Terheș has called on European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to resign, citing the ongoing scrutiny surrounding the EU's COVID-19 vaccine procurement.

Speaking in the European Parliament, Terheș pointed to the investigation into the Commission's handling of vaccine contracts and questioned the transparency of agreements worth approximately €71 billion for up to 4.6 billion vaccine doses.

He argued that European citizens still deserve full disclosure of how those contracts were negotiated and why key documents have not been made public.

My assessment: Whatever your view of the pandemic response, transparency is essential. Public confidence depends on major procurement decisions—especially those involving tens of billions of euros of taxpayers' money—being open to proper scrutiny and accountability.

The EU is giving away €365 million to help build and modernize Morocco’s transport infrastructure, including €300 million for motorways, €50 million for railways, and a €15 million EU grant for climate-resilience measures.

European Investment Bank President Nadia Calviño also said the bank expects to channel more than €700 million into Morocco in 2026, calling the country a "strategic partner" for the EU.

Meanwhile, European transport organizations are warning that the EU's own infrastructure is chronically underfunded, urging Brussels to raise the Connecting Europe Facility budget to at least €100 billion because demand for funding far exceeds what is currently available.

For example, the Netherlands alone faces an €80 billion infrastructure funding gap through 2039, and its government is reportedly preparing cuts to road, waterway and rail construction and maintenance because of budget shortfalls.

Dutch officials warn projects may be cut, maintenance delayed, and bridges, viaducts and roads could face longer closures, while the country needs around €280 billion by 2040 to get its infrastructure in order.
