@KyleDemetrius I suspect he might still go and get Blankenburg or someone like that and let him, Pohlkamp and Cagnoni compete for the last spot. Whoever wins gets to run PP1. Trouba likely gets PP2.
An $8.25 AAV for a team that can currently afford to give that sort of contract out. Really like this for the Sharks, who needed some blunt force trauma on their blueline.
If you’re going to post about Holocaust Remembrance Day, it is critical that you explicitly state that millions of Jews were murdered.
People assume that using “Holocaust” with a capital H automatically implies this, but it doesn’t.
Neo-Nazis are obsessed with severing Jews from the industrial-scale murder that occurred.
They love nothing more than making Jews —rather than the Nazis — the cause of millions of deaths across Europe, while simultaneously minimizing the murder of Jews by referring to them as “deaths” (often attributed to illness rather than murder and reduced to hundreds of thousands rather than millions).
This is especially true of major media figures and elected officials.
I have seen in real time how Neo-Nazis will notice a statement or social media post from someone prominent that does not explicitly mention the mass murder of millions of Jews in reference to the Holocaust and ask whether that person is secretly on their side, or if they’ve “woken up” or “noticed.”
Retired French General Michel Yakovleff says that if NATO collapses over Trump’s Greenland push, Europe would force U.S. troops out of Europe.
We won’t go to war with the United States… we don’t have the means.
We kick them out of Ramstein, out of Naples… You don’t have a single ship left in the Mediterranean.
We will kick them out.
If NATO ends… it’s time to talk to lawyers and speak of divorce.
Oh thank God, a bunch of people on Twitter are blaming Jews for killing Charlie Kirk. I was worried for a moment that we wouldn’t be blamed for something.
Watching the stupidest people on planet earth offer the dumbest conspiracy theories on the day that made dumb conspiracies mainstream is a perfect summary of what this platform has become.
Read, read, read. To the people I love who are firmly right wing, and the people on the left who don’t realize that antisemitism is taking hold there too, read, read and pass it on.
I don’t want to call this a full mask-off moment for Candace, because the mask has been off for a while.
But let’s just say this is taking things to a whole other level.
Ten years ago, if you told me I had to remind many people who have access to information that Adolf Hitler organized and directed the mass murder of six million Jews, directed the murder of millions more — including Roma people, disabled individuals, political dissidents, LGBTQ people, Slavs, and others deemed “undesirable” — and launched a war that led to the killing and death of 70 million people, I wouldn’t have believed you.
And this doesn’t even get into the 20 years of dehumanization he carried out and the pogroms he ordered, like Kristallnacht.
But in the past two years, Jew hatred — and the conspiracies that always come with it — have exploded and led to a rewriting of history by groups who were previously not interested in living in this world of violent bigotry.
I have been very clear in my stories: Benjamin Netanyahu is corrupt, criminal — but to diminish the Shoah by even putting him in the same sentence as a man who oversaw the systematic murder of millions of Jews and whose actions led to the deaths of SEVENTY MILLION more is beyond the pale.
This isn’t even a defense of Netanyahu; it’s a defense of the memory of those whose murder was carried out with brutal efficiency 80 years ago.
It’s also an expression of grave concern about how many people are being radicalized into Jew hatred.
This is a level of radicalization that is terrifying and should shock any decent person.
But I have no doubt that the response will be diminished because people hate Netanyahu (as do I), which will only allow these lies to continue to spread and radicalize a whole new generation.
