@JaysRealityBlog She’s choking that poor fur baby! Buy a damn harness!! I know she doesn’t have compassion or empathy for people but geez have a little for your dog ! 😡
Exciting news: my legislation, the BARK Act, is now one step closer to becoming law! The bill will help pet food manufacturers and pet food stores donate usable, surplus food and supplies to shelter cats and dogs in need.
I joined my friends Penny and Julie at the Big Bad Woof, a beloved local business, to celebrate our progress.
Opossums live short, difficult lives, yet they spend their nights doing work many people never see.
Most only live about one to two years in the wild. They move through backyards, forests, roadsides, and neighborhoods after dark, searching for food while avoiding cars, dogs, predators, and harsh weather. Their lives are brief, but their role in nature is meaningful.
Opossums help clean the world around you. They eat pests, insects, carrion, and sometimes even venomous snakes. They also help reduce ticks, which can carry disease. In their quiet way, they support the balance of the places they pass through.
Still, many people fear them because of how they look or because they appear at night. But opossums are usually shy, gentle animals. When scared, they often freeze, hiss, drool, or play dead because they want to survive, not attack.
Kindness can be simple. Give them space. Do not harm them. Slow down when you see one near the road. Let them keep doing the work nature gave them.
Opossums may not live long, but they leave the world cleaner than they found it.
@WestportOnika@KerryBilicki I Use to work there. barbacks and porters hated going into the basement bc they would see and hear stuff. 👻 😂 I love that kind of stuff so to me that was funny they were nervous
Examining Kate’s 1%
She has suspected endometriosis. This affects at least 1 in 10 women, likely more.
Here she’s getting an ultrasound.
Historically you needed surgery just to diagnose it (incisions are made in the abdomen). We're doing a non-invasive route.
Typically women live with endometriosis for 7-10 years before being diagnosed. It’s the leading reason women aged 30 to 34 get hysterectomies (permanent surgery to entirely remove the uterus).
This condition is where endometrial-like tissue starts growing outside the uterus, in ovaries, bowel, bladder, even the diaphragm. This tissue inflames, scars, and glues organs together.
Our first step is to find out if @_katetolo has it.
Initial measurements we’re doing:
+ trans vaginal ultrasound
+ pelvic MRI w and w/o contrast
+ hormonal labs
All during the early part of her cycle to get the clearest picture.
During her ultrasound, a slim probe, about the width of two fingers, 10-12 inches long (although only a small portion is inserted) is covered with a protective sheath and lubricant and gently inserted into the vagina (patient has to empty their bladder first). This creates real-time images of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures. While inserted, the probe is turned 90 degrees to evaluate all the various structures, angles and views. There is no radiation exposure.
The technician is looking for scarring, ovarian cysts, adhesions, and for organs that are fused together with tissue. This ultrasound can confirm endometriosis but it cannot rule it out.
What endo does to the body:
+ 90% report pelvic pain
+ 50% report severe fatigue
+ 26% report infertility. However many sources cite 30 to 50 percent.
+ 50% experience pain during sex.
+ Many have pain with ovulation, bowel movements, and urination
+ Severe bloating called “endo belly” where the abdomen visibly distends
There are a handful of theories about why endometriosis develops but the honest answer is no one is quite sure.
We’ll keep you posted on her results.
Apparently this ass hole was on his way to the shelter, where the dog was dumped with multiple injuries, and he is now in a medical ward. His name is west, and we have to make sure he finds love❤️
And that his abusers face justice.
🚨 TEXAS WOMAN CAUGHT EATING HER OWN PET POODLE GIVEN ONLY A $20,000 BOND
DISGUSTING.
Harris County 208th District Court Judge Beverly Armstrong gave just a $20,000 bond to Ashley Quinn Pagel after prosecutors say she strangled, drowned, skinned, and ATE her pet poodle inside her Deer Park home.
And this wasn’t her first violent case.
Court records show she was released EARLY from felony probation on March 30, 2026.
Less than ONE MONTH later, prosecutors allege she tortured and killed her dog while making violent threats involving her child.
Prosecutors asked for a $200,000 bond.
Judge Armstrong gave her $20,000.
What makes this even more unbelievable is that Judge Armstrong’s own campaign website says she has “consistently set high bonds on violent cases” and keeps “public safety at the forefront.”
Yet in THIS case, involving alleged animal torture, prior injury to a child, and renewed violent threats, she decided $20,000 was enough.

RICKY GERVAIS USES HIS OWN HARD-EARNED MONEY TO RESCUE THE FINAL BEARS FROM CRUEL BILE FARMS
Comedian Ricky Gervais has donated $200,000 from the profits of his Mortality tour to Animals Asia. This generous gift will directly help rescue and rehabilitate the last one hundred fifty bears still trapped in tiny cages on the remaining bile farms in Vietnam. These animals have suffered years of painful bile extraction in conditions that no creature should ever endure. It is inspiring to see private philanthropy and personal success making a real difference by fighting this barbaric practice through action rather than empty talk.
In Poland, Thetmal imaging drones are being used to locate dogs abandoned in freezing conditions so rescuers could save them before they freeze to death
Yesterday I was In Tracy visiting my mom. On my way I drove passed this woman who was dragging this little dog. She was pulling her off the ground by the leash and hanging her. I did a u-turn to ask her if I can buy the dog but she wasn’t coherent in her response until i eventually heard her say no and walk away. Later I went back to try and convince her to let me have the dog but I found a man passed out on a mattress in the middle of the sun with the dog tied to him. She was panting with no food, water or shade.
Apparently this sad situation is a well known issue, reports have been made about her to Tracy PD but apparently nothing is done. I don’t get it. Cities come after animal owners if they aren’t vaccinated and licensed but allows this to continue. I wish I could take this dog. Been thinking about her all day
On the eve of the initial hearing, I reflect back on the past three weeks of this fight to #SaveLucy, the dog I rescued from war ten years ago who has been taken by the police.
It began small, reaching out to friends and acquaintances with a petition that we didn't know would ever reach 100 names. Now it sits at 1,600 and is still climbing. The day they took my dog, I felt numb. All I could think to do was tell the story on X. I shared it on a post by @mattvanswol and it got 100 likes. Now my posts are being viewed almost 100 thousand times a day. It's been quite the journey.
The Lord works in mysterious ways. I wouldn't have chosen to go through this, but in a strange way, I am thankful that I have.
It's given me more time with Lex, our other military rescue dog. Sweet, silly Lex has always been the overlooked step-child in this family, but no more. As Lucy once filled a need that was created by a separation from my newborn son, Lex is now filling the need caused by a separation from Lulu, my desert pearl.
I have long thought that I should catalogue old family photos and videos, but I never got around to it. Life was always too busy, or so I told myself. It wasn't. I just didn't have my priorities in order. I do now. You can't stop time. You can't stop kids from growing up. You can't stop dogs from growing old. You shouldn't. Never forget to be present in the moment. You will never get it back. Memories are the only keepsakes.
This has given me a chance to get to know hundreds, if not thousands, of great people. I've done my best to keep up with comments and messages you all have sent me about Lucy, but I know I've been missing some. I appreciate you all. Special thanks to @LoneStarChica.
Most importantly by far, however, I am grateful for the spiritual awakening that this ordeal has occasioned in me. If it takes hard times for me to be this receptive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, then I pray to God to never remove the thorn from my flesh (okay, maybe not this particular thorn) that has tuned my heart, with precision, to sing praises to the Lord. For,
"What tho' my joys and comforts die?
The Lord my Saviour liveth;
What tho' the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth.
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging;
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth,
How can I keep from singing?"
Praise to Him who brings songs in the night to allay my fears. Whose rod and staff comfort me, even in the shadow of death. Who promises that joy comes in the morning. Praise to a God whose power is made perfect in weakness.
Thank you God, for making me low. Please be with my dog. If it be your will that Lucy is reunited with her family, make it so. If not, give us the strength to endure and to better discern your will for our lives.
Amen

If a legit rescue pulls him I’ll pledge $100 for this poor guy. He doesn’t deserve what life just dealt him. This is horrible and he deserves so much better!
Repost everywhere and get this poor guy off death row
New York’s Senate recently passed a bill that would ban the use of many wild animals, including bears and big cats, from being used in entertainment acts. This progressive legislation, which is heading to the NY Governor to be signed into law, is a prominent step in making these historically unsafe traveling acts obsolete.
“These inhumane acts use wild animals as props and force them to perform silly tricks that put families, first responders and communities in danger. The New York State Legislature has a proven record of protecting captive wild animals and the public, and we ask Gov. Hochul to please sign this bill into law,” says @humaneworldorg.

From across the kennel aisle, his little tail wagged like maybe... just maybe... it was finally his turn too.
But after the family walked out with the other dog, the room went quiet again. He stood there for a second staring at the empty hallway before slowly walking back to his bed with his tail tucked low.
Some shelter dogs stop barking when their heart breaks a little. They just get quiet 🥹💔
