Why Not India 🇮🇳 ?
Dear Comrades,
Two rounds of online meetings were held today. There has been no concrete outcome on the Five-Day Work Week. The strike stands. The UFBU Circular Follows.
Now is the time for unity, discipline and total mobilisation.
Every preparatory programme must be carried out meticulously. Every leader must remain fully focused, visible and active on the ground. Members must be kept alert, mobilised and ready for action.
No complacency. No dilution. No looking back.
Our strength will be seen in our preparedness, our unity and our presence on the ground.
Strike Ahead — March On!

@ChVenkatachalam@DFS_India
Though I am not in sync with UFBU leadership on PLI issue but I am happy that even belated one ufbu leadership is in sync with me on 5 days banking week issue so our whole hearted support to all strike call on 5 days banking week issue and now my only wish is that ufbu leadership goes ahead with its strike program and strike is not called off or deferred till government announces .
implementation of 5 days banking week .
Only if ufbu had given a strike call from 29 march to 31 march 26 as follows up of 27 jan strike things could have been different on both PLI and 5 days banking week issue.
But now no point in looking back and now it is matter of now or never and all 7 lakh plus PSB bankers should give their 200 pc to observe such a strike which has never happened in the past in banking industry.
And my special request to all scale 4 and above officers to support this strike in every possible way including actual participation in strike .
Abhi nahi to kabhi nahi
5 days banking week is our right .
India’s bank employees seek fairness, dignity & equality at work. 🇮🇳
Implement the agreed 5-Day Work Week and replace the discriminatory PLI system with a fair & inclusive reward framework.

India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.

The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
The art of governance seems to have found a new formula: agreements can be signed today and implemented sometime in the future.
Five-Day Banking was recorded in the MOU of 7 December 2023 and incorporated in the 9th Joint Note of 8 March 2024. Employees accepted 40 additional minutes every day. Yet the agreement still waits for implementation.
Meanwhile, the revised PLI matrix can push 20% of officers into a zero-PLI bracket even when the bank performs excellently.
So, the agreement gets a waiting list, while the inequality gets a framework.
Government must honour its commitment and withdraw discriminatory PLI.
Banking needs fairness and collective recognition, not delayed promises and compulsory losers.

@fboioa_india@aiboc_in 5 days banking are not just for employees or to create inconvenience to customers of banks but it will promote our PM’s vision Digital Banking in true sense,reduce operational expenses, and increase productivity of employees etc
#5DayWeekandFairPLI#FBOIOA#AIBOC
A parliamentary question to the policy makers: If a bank performs above 80%, why must 20% of its officers receive zero #PLI ? And if employees accepted longer daily hours, why must all Saturdays remain pending? This is not reform; it is administrative arithmetic without human fairness. Government must stop forced ranking and honour.
