108 pitches is fatiguing. The goal isn’t to train hard the next day…it’s to restore motion, promote recovery, and be ready for the next time the ball leaves your hand.
Great content.
Great people.
Great connection.

So Good. Such a GREAT reminder of why athletes MUST continue to train “IN-SEASON”. I send out occasionally to our high school, college and pro athletes as a visual reminder.

Dropping the In-season Masterclass next week on all things I know for training in-season.
Some of it good…some of it I’ll probably change my mind on in the next 12 months. Always learning. This is just what I know at this point in time. 🤷♂️
Weekend sweeps mean warmup fun!!! I don’t have a problem with letting the team have fun. In fact we do way more of it than most programs probably allow.
I want these guys to enjoy training. When it’s fun … athletes are more invested in everything they’re doing.
“Coaches have the disease of more.”
How do you get results and improvement out of your athletes without doing too much?

“We spend more time on the field jumping, throwing, sprinting than we do in the weight room” - @ZachDechant
Prepare your athletes for the demands of the game.
Gamedays on the road often mean adjusting and accommodating what we had planned for alternatives…but we find a way.
This session was what we call a neural charge for our athletes. Fast powerful movements in short bursts to tune up the CNS and we’re out the door.
The lower trapezius plays a critical role in scapular control, helping keep the shoulder in a strong, stable position throughout the throwing motion.
Weak lower traps = poor scapular upward rotation = more stress on the arm.
We use our warmup to MOVE with our 3D Movement Prep system. This means training the brain as well as the body with a variety of patterns and positions in different planes.
@blacknblue430@Siemers_XC_TF@STSBreeze I should’ve clarified. I wasn’t referring to kids that actually run track from the fb team. I was referring to the fb kids that are required to go run track practice but aren’t actually out for track and don’t compete in an event. Time better spent training for speed and accel.
