@altcap@MebFaber@WarrenBuffett Pro rata IRA distribution education would be a massive unlock so the "fully taxed on way out" narrative blows up in most cases... amazing work.
@CliffordAsness You're generating ~30-45% annual ordinary losses on money invested in Delphi+ while the fund grew.
On $5m invested, that's ~$1,550,000 to ~$2,200,000 in losses to use against wages or IRA distributions.
This seems like it could EASILY reduce a client's tax bill to zero.....
@EricBalchunas Why has this not become more popular of a launch strategy? I understand the crypto native is inherently more active DIY, but with more interest since ETF approval I thought this multi-token approach would've taken hold
sooner...
@profplum99@cullenroche@bariweiss That is quite the take to say "FREE trade" requires a balancing mechanism , which you then imply our government needs to manipulate currency value or get centrally involved in export control in order to help US workers... just say that and stop pretending to support free trade.
@thehadsshow@cullenroche@PackManSamm i don't support these tariffs at all... but the populist response to that would be laughing at the thought that "everyone" has a 401k. Only ~30% of Americans do. < 60% even own any stocks. You need to consider that >40% of people might not care about stock prices....
@cullenroche@PackManSamm eliminating income taxes for those <$150k (let's assume $10k taxes) might not necessarily increase the cost of their basket of goods by $10k, and shareholders may have to take a bite (of which many of those <$150k aren't anyways) so how do you fight that populist appeal?
@dollarsanddata Why prevent clients from reaping the benefits of tax free growth in Roth 401k's just because you don't like how it's "viewed"...?
"While you technically can withdraw your contributions from a Roth 401(k) early, I donโt think you should view your retirement accounts in this way"
@dollarsanddata great analysis, but lacking the tax advantages of owning (SALT, Mortgage int. deduction)...
every itemized $1 over the standard deduction returns $1 x tax rate to you that is investable and can compound... i added that to the tool - it dramatically changes outcomes
@NateGeraci Big story to me is Coinbase... almost threw up looking at their BTC sale transaction fee.... can't wait to see how they manage through this
