Bill C-34, the Safe Social Media Act, will help make social media and AI Chatbots safer for young Canadians.

It sets a minimum age of 16 for social media unless platforms have approved child safety protections in place. It also requires companies to remove illegal images quickly and take stronger action against harmful content.
