This is where you must end your main storyline and give the viewer the biggest PAYOFFS to leave them feeling satisfied and uplifted, hopefully this should entice them to subscribe and watch more content. Guiding them to another relevant video can also help.

Then keep the outro nice a short, once they’ve got what they came for they won’t stick around so keep it QUICK!

In the middle of the video, you need to deliver on your title and thumbnail and start giving your viewers minor payoffs to stop them skipping straight to the end.

The main way all big YouTubers achieve this is through STORY. There are hundreds of different storytelling techniques that you could use, one of the basics being setup, conflict and resolution. Just remember to always keep a curiosity gap open to keep viewers engaged all the way through.

Every well performing video has CHARACTER. Showing personality is so important to build a connection with your audience so that they come back because they want to spend more time with you.

Having good PACING throughout your video will aid the clarity of your storytelling and keep your viewers engaged, cut out any fluff and learn to murder your darlings!
