@Obv_Bex@ucas_online@LJMU I'm so sorry, there are so many brilliant courses at 16-18 not A-levels, but they get dismissed by some unis. E.g. Engineering T-level, fab qualification, but many unis still require A-level maths for an engineering degree. Bonkers. Clearing through UCAS is the way to go

CARE is devastated by the deaths of two of our colleagues from our valued partner organisation, @Juzoor, in Gaza - Dr. Ahmad Al-Najar and Ms. Laila Jneid, who were both killed by Israeli airstrikes.
Aid workers and civilians are NOT a target. We call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and for the UK Government to end all arms transfers to Israel.

Here, the usually irreverent + hilarious @MarinaPurkiss & @jemmaforte embrace profound pain and I love them for it. In confronting horror + grief, not whataboutting or distancing, it's the most rational news podcast out there. Listen if you can. https://t.co/FNb4AjGZnV
NotebookLM generates a podcast based on source material + web links. Two voices discuss key concepts from papers from @NathalieKakoun & @Dr_Orb_II. There's even banter/ ums & ahs/ hesitations, it sounds natural enough to forget it's AI. Took about 3 mins to make. I have chills.

@Dunc76 Making dams and catching minnows was how I spent all my summers as a kid 🥰. That was a tiny tributary in Essex. Now we swim in the Tawe main river upstream of Swansea, the kids (and I) still try to dam the shallow section. The 30m width has so far defeated us. One day...
@TorstenBell Help me see how the huge crises we face will get solved by surrendering to the exponentiality of growth. We have to grow ever faster just for quality of life to stay still, yet resources are finite. It doesn't compute. Why not lead the global challenge against this incongruity?
Joanna Macy's 'The Work That Reconnects' offers a powerful process to face future challenges with resilience. This four-step method helps individuals move from despair to constructive action, developing a sense of connection and empowerment. https://t.co/oCQVOi947T
@DrPragyaAgarwal I recognised this avoidance in me, until I discovered that angry-making books are excellent as audiobooks during the no-mans land of commuting.
@EmmaKEdDev It's the rollercoaster (and privilege) of being there for the rollercoaster of emotional lows and highs. Then knowing I'll be seeing some of these applicants smash it over the next few years and graduate beaming with pride. I'm a wreck after clearing. Stocking up on mini gems.
Disobedience Workshops convene researchers working with theory to learn from each other. These fall within HUMA’s objectives to generate and establish #newknowledge & #epistemiccommunities through networks, interdisciplinary conversations and intergenerational transmissions.
@AdvanceHE_chat A6 it's a basic point, but remembering that learners have diverse + complex lives. I try to anticipate the impacts of my decisions on students with self-doubt/ poor health/ caring/ working many hours/ ESL + ask myself if I am compounding any inequities #LTHEchat#AdvanceHE_chat
