@staylorish I think the government's position now is to negotiate the separation agreement before allowing people to vote on it.
This will stop the nats telling people that Westminster will pay their pensions & benefits while Stephen Flynn will have full veto rights on UK interest rates.
@cliffc100@higgyboson@rospay15 You can get up to £36k in housing benefit alone in Central London. Personal and disabled child benefits will be in addition to that.
It used to be unlimited until 2010. There were people renting flats for £1500 a week in Belgravia who had welfare income of over £100k.
@thesundaysport@ITVNewsPolitics Happens all the time.
Sam Brinton was the US Assistant Secretary for nuclear power.
If only there had been some way to tell that he was a deranged pervert who exposed himself to blackmail by stealing womens' underwear.
Preferably before he got access to radioactive waste.
@PravdaBrian@ViveClara If I was a raging old cynic, I might think he'd transferred ownership of all his assets, or moved them abroad, to avoid confiscation.
@michaelhills8@SancastleAir Kenneth was in the concert party with Stanley Baxter in the army during WW2. It ain't half hot mum, but for real.
His anecdote about the "no mincing" standing order from the CO in Singapore life changing.

@GaryGaryholman@WillMackie82 Here he is in 1999 with Carlos Menem, then President of Argentina, after receiving his medal. No idea who the dodgy looking Lt Cdr is.
On arrival at the ceremony, he was greeted by dozens of Argentinian veterans who had been treated in his hospital during the war.
@Stuarty771@MMTUK_PRG That's true. In Britain, since the 17th Century, it's been illegal for the Bank to print money & hand it to the government.
Quantitative easing has to be done via intermediary banks. It still stokes inflation but not as much as in places like Zimbabwe & Weimar Germany.
@Stuarty771@MMTUK_PRG There are plenty of precedents, going all the way back to Imperial Rome when Nero tried shaving bits of gold off the coins to make himself rich.
@staylorish This fiasco began when Murrell told the SNP accounts committee that he'd prepared the accounts himself. He asked the committee to sign them off without access to receipts or bank statements.
Three of the committee resigned immediately followed by the treasurer & the auditors.
