Our distinguished speakers for this session ‘Sustainability business strategies to attract climate finance in Africa’ were Priscillah Okutoyi and Vera Kloettschen from ImpactDev Africa and Amandine de Rosnay from Business Mauritius

One standout feature of this workshop was the presentation of a compelling case study on successful private climate investments through blended finance, specifically the SUNREF initiative. Dealing with our waste is a major issue in our present reality.

When you throw away your waste into a trash can, you may not even give it a second glance.

A large percentage of that trash can be REUSED or RECYCLED.

You have to know what you’re throwing away to make sure what it is you’re putting in the trash can should actually be there.

Some items should not be in your trash can, like electronics, chemicals, paint and tires.

In 2017, Kenya banned the importation, use and manufacture of single use plastic bags.
