More Eucryphia! E. moorei from SE #Australia is too rarely planted even in suitable gardens. Its hybrid (with E. lucida) E. x hilleri is hardier and still has pinnate leaves (with fewer leaflets) and small flowers. Both flowering yesterday at #Kilmacurragh#Ireland@rhsirl
Three @RBGE_ICCP highlights at @Fotahouse#Cork the Mexican Pinus teucote, Taiwania cryptomerioides thriving in permanently waterlogged soils and the Chilean Quillaja saponaria 12m and still going like a rocket! #rbgehort#Ireland#trees
@whitmuir1 @RBGE_ICCP Nice to see that this has established so well! Sister seedlings doing ok at Dawyck and in Perthshire, and thriving at Bedgebury in Kent when last seen!
Well, this is what we were hoping for! £300,000 combined for Enzo Homes & Fiorenzo Sauro, & £120,000 for Arwyn Morgan, who felled the tree & 70 others in an area of ancient woodland. This is a massive fine. Well done Swansea Council. Possibly an appeal!
