They say nobody gets into Yale. But God has not forgotten the cattle herders. Humbled to become the first Kenyan lawyer in approximately 33 years to join Yale’s LL.M. class of just 25 lawyers worldwide. Excited for this chapter.
Today, in solidarity with colleagues across the country, I joined members of the Law Society of Kenya, West Kenya Chapter, in condemning the deaths of our colleagues.
The legal profession exists to defend the rule of law, protect rights and hold power to account.
We therefore call for immediate, thorough and transparent investigations.
We stand united with the families of our departed colleagues and with every advocate across Kenya.
May the souls of our departed colleagues rest in peace.
WE CAME.
WE CONNECTED.
WE HAD FUN
Above all, we made memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you, @lawsocietykenya for a fantastic event.
I had an amazing time! My heart is young, but my body has since reminded me otherwise. I'm nursing multiple soft tissue injuries
This week is officially Kaluma season. If you see me walking with a swag, just know that Justice Cup happened. 😂

Fired Up, Ready to Launch!
As we close this campaign, I’m grateful for the conversations, the encouragement and the shared belief that our profession deserves steady and practical leadership.
On 19th, Feb vote for Wambugu Wanjohi
I am officially endorsing Mr. Mwaura Kabata for the Law Society of Kenya presidency.
The campaign period has unfortunately been dominated by personality attacks instead of substantive agendas on what each candidate intends to deliver while in office. Kabata has demonstrated the leadership, vision, and commitment needed to take care of the welfare of Advocates and to restore dignity and focus within the Society.
My support is grounded on issues, delivery, and the future of the legal fraternity. Strong, steady, and issue-driven ; that is the leadership that defines Mwaura Kabata.
While all three candidates bring notable strengths to the table, when it comes to striking the right balance between public duty and the interests of advocates, Mwaura Kabata is the candidate I will be voting for.
10 Days to Define Our Future
10 days stands between us and a decision that will shape the next decade of our profession.
This is our moment to choose a leader whose actions have already paved the way forward.
Let's move with purpose, not just pledges.
#ProgressBeyondPromises
I find it it ironic for @ckanjama to refer to @mwaurakab as a career LSK politician. He refused to hand over power in Nairobi Branch. He's still here, after serving in LSK Council, Nairobi Branch Chair and attempting the presidency twice with fail.

Kabata Sees You
LSK’s light must reach every advocate; in every town, every small firm, every early-career struggle.
This isn’t about Nairobi’s front bench. It’s about Kenya’s full bar.
