Anyone else disappointed in @ChickfilA use of #styrofoam? It takes more than 500 years to breakdown and the #WHO has classified it as a probable #carcinogen (ie. it probably causes cancer). I filed a complaint with them about a month ago and I've heard #crickets. #disappointed
@SenThomTillis Bro, fossil fuels are untenable (see recent IPCC report). Investment in renewables could increase job security for North Carolinians, improve air quality and health. Or you can just carry on with this partisan garbage and there won't be a North Carolina to govern in a few gens.
We generate nearly 300 pounds of plastic trash per person, per year in the U.S. โ and unfortunately, much of that can't be recycled. Here are a few ways you can curb your use of disposables๐

@virginiafoxx@Bojangles Love @Bojangles but hate teaching about Racism in schools - sounds about white to me. @virginiafoxx You don't get this delicious food without the influence of Black culture and creativity.
@virginiafoxx Quit with this fragile nonsense. I had no idea the Tulsa massacre happened until recently because of shitty NC public education. Of course, students need to understand the full scope of our country's history. Nice impartial source too -would it pass the bar for a student paper?
@SenThomTillis It's almost as if people actually have the autonomy to choose humane and dignified work. So the free market is cool when it suits corporations and not when it suits your constituents. Got it.
@ramtinarablouei@throughlineNPR@KateRaworth I'm so glad to hear this and looking forward to following the series! ๐ฅณ This report could be helpful, it's seeking to measure the economic value of biodiversity: https://t.co/qmASdNkUlz
Big thank you to @brianstelter for having @dwallacewells and I on @ReliableSources yesterday to talk about how climate reporting must expand across all newsrooms in this time of global crisis.
Grateful for every minute of coverage, and will continue to push for more.
1. This will be a thread of corporate PRIDE tweets + the FACTS of each company's political giving to anti-gay politicians over the last two years.
Follow along if interested.

"100 companies are responsible for 71% of emissions" has become a rallying cry for why efforts to reduce one's personal emissions don't matter. But...that premise and the conclusion are both untrue.
A friend introduced me to WindowSwap, where you can peer outside someone's window, somewhere in the world. And when you're ready, shuffle to a new one.
No substitute for fresh air, but it's strangely calming. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
