Reluctant to share this but this is my story. My health has become very dire after catching c*v*d 6 times within 9 weeks this summer.
Please watch, share and if you are able to, please support & donate whatever you can to https://t.co/MxOLeeZvaR
People do realise that just because your LFT comes back negative does not mean that you don’t have covid, right? Look at the damn graphs for Covid vs Flu. I know people do not want to accept that Covid is doing the rounds but C’MON! 😵💫
A panic attack.
They are telling @AlisonHammond it’s all in her head.
Heart palpitations, breathing difficulties and chest pains?
Tests are ‘clear’.
MUST be psychological…🤦🏻♀️🙄
Label her as anxious.
In other news, the global pandemic is causing cardiovascular issues 🫀
I want to say thank you to everyone out there who still takes C19 seriously and does their best to protect themselves and others. It sucks being the only masker wherever I go but when I’m feeling especially isolated and down, I have this space to remind me I’m not alone. 😷✊
If Covid wasn’t actually a problem that would be obvious by now. But it’s year 7 and Covid is still clearly around. You can easily see its effects everywhere you look. The only way a person could think otherwise is if they are refusing to look.
Many still think that if we do nothing about COVID, it will resolve itself or fizzle out.
We're on the 7th year, 13th wave.
It won't.
It will continue using us as incubators, progressively damaging our collective health.
Happy with that? Stay the course. Otherwise, mitigate.
Being covid aware isn’t anti-social, but you know what is? Spreading disease to your community bc you keep going to work & everywhere else sick/maskless. If you didn’t do this, we wouldn’t have to be as “extreme” in our😷! What’s not clicking? Do you not hear yourselves coughing?
My favourite part of the traitors this episode was Ross Kemp who films documentaries in war and crime zones, having a paranoid breakdown because Leigh-Anne from little mix stroked his arm. I've missed this show #CelebrityTraitors
Being disabled in a world where it is okay for people to both hate you for being disabled and hate you for being upset about the way disabled people are treated is a special kind of prison.
Almost 3 in 4 Covid-19 cases needing hospital treatment are caught *in hospital*. Again. Why are NHS staff not wearing masks to protect themselves and patients? Why are no lessons learned from the Covid inquiry? #NHS#CovidIsNotOver#CovidInquiry
electric toothbrushes were originally made for people with disabilities but now everyone uses them. the same with velcro, & even curb cuts, which were designed for wheelchair users, but now useful to cyclists & pram-pushing mothers. rights for a subgroup can end up benefiting all
Long Covid is a women’s issue: women are disproportionately affected.
A Black issue: Black communities bear a disproportionate burden of COVID and Long Covid.
A Latino issue: Latino people are disproportionately affected by Long Covid, reflecting disparities in exposure, work, and healthcare.
An Indigenous issue: Indigenous communities have suffered disproportionate infection, illness, and long-term consequences.
A Trans issue: emerging evidence suggests Trans people are disproportionately affected by Long Covid.
A children’s issue: Long Covid is one of the most consequential new chronic illnesses affecting children.
A disability issue: it is disabling millions in a society where disability itself creates barriers to income, housing, healthcare, and participation.
A class issue: your job, housing, income, and ability to afford protection all shape your risk of infection - and your ability to survive chronic illness.
A labor issue: workers are repeatedly exposed, denied adequate sick leave, and expected to work through infection and disability.
A carceral issue: incarcerated people face repeated exposure with little control over their environment or access to prevention and care.
A housing issue: crowded housing increases transmission, while illness and lost income increase housing insecurity.
An education issue: chronic illness means missed school, lost educational opportunities, and sick teachers, students, and caregivers.
An economic issue: Long Covid reduces employment and earnings while shifting the enormous costs of chronic illness onto individuals and families.
A healthcare issue: access to diagnosis, specialists, treatment, insurance, and even being believed is profoundly unequal.
Long Covid follows the fault lines society already created and makes them deeper.
It’s not about “identity politics.” It’s about the social determinants of health.
