@paleofuture @faucett_tom Not just your outlets and wiring--the majority of your appliances. Different standards of plugs prevent people from plugging into a system with different voltage/frequency. So you need to get the entire world to agree on a standard for voltage, frequency, and current rating.

@Your3rdLife @mhmenezess @jdcmedlock It's a large coal plant. It's especially obvious because you can see the coal elevators running up the sides. The shorter, fatter towers are for cooling water. The skinnier, taller towers are the smoke stacks.
