A man in his 20s who worked as a Disco Pang Pang DJ, together with a teenage boy, handcuffed a female high school student and gang-raped her. The perpetrators also filmed the assault.

A few days later, he lured her by saying, “I’ll delete the video of your rape,” then detained and assaulted her again. She suffered severe distress, even engaging in self-harm, and eventually told her mother about what had happened.

Her mother filed a complaint against him, but in the meantime, he had already been accused of committing another sexual offense against a different woman. He had reportedly been committing such crimes since he was a minor.

According to the victim, many girls had already been sexually assaulted by him but were too afraid to report it, and among the victims was a 13-year-old girl. Additionally, his ex-girlfriend reportedly tracked down girls who had come to ride Disco Pang Pang and found that at least 20 of them had been sexually assaulted by him.

During the trial, the perpetrators blamed the victim. The teenage accomplice even wrote degrading messages about her in a detention facility. Their lawyer also criticized the victim, saying, “If you had the will, you could have taken off the handcuffs and escaped—didn’t you simply lack the will to run away?”

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and has appealed the verdict.
