there was a time i worked with a man who had a ridiculous amount of money, more like a fvck you money but the money itself wasn’t what even stood out to me.

what stood out to me was how little he seemed to get bothered by things.

if his food was a wrong order, he’d just eat it without complaints. if his flight was delayed, he will just take out a book to read while waiting for another. if something didn’t go his way, he'll still be okay with it and move on.. then i started noticing how much energy most of us spend fighting little things we can’t change.

these crazily rich mf just didn’t seem interested in that fight, maybe having money gives you that kind of peace

but i think there was more to it
