What is a biomolecular condensate? Is a 100-macromolecule cluster a condensate? How about 50 or even 10? What's the smallest size, the lowest # to form a condensate? How biochemical activity is enhanced in cluster vs condensate? LMK U r interested, share your answers before mine.
Kaushik Trivedi, a longtime biotech/healthcare strategist, launched a biotech podcast. It differs from others by including people at all levels/functions. I recently sat down for a chat about our lead-op program targeting MYC in ovarian cancer @dewpoint_tx https://t.co/PoRaKtNCMg
Thank you JCC for the support. It's an honor to be a part of this years cohort. Deeply grateful for TJ Ha @taekjip for his mentorship and my Ph.D. advisor @BanerjeeLab_UB! Also thank you to all my past mentors for their continuous support!
In this work, we (including ‘@gable_wadsworth@anurag_garuna@BanerjeeLab_UB ) report that biomolecular condensates act as sites for the homotypic aggregation of repeat RNAs, e.g., TERRA, CAG, G4C2, and CUG repeats, as a function of condensate age.

If you’re not sure where you want to be in 5 or 10 years, that’s okay.
It may be that the goals you will aspire to are things that you just have yet to dream of.
Deeply grateful to @Hypothesisfund for supporting our research on RNA biophysics 💧🔬. Sincerely thankful to @taekjip for endorsing this project and for such an exciting note🙏. Excited and grateful for the opportunity to dig deeper into the RNA world.
The pain and suffering of patients diagnosed with deadly diseases such as brain cancers is unimaginable! Even today they have no cure. New technologies are urgently required to defeat these diseases and end such suffering!

Postdoc Ritika Gupta presenting her yet to be published work on Single-molecule DNA mechanics and chromatin condensate viscoelasticity at the Multiscale Genome Organization subgroup at BPS annual meeting today. 👏👏👏
Ritika Gupta @ritika42sps from @BanerjeeLab_UB presents super cool work in collaboration with @EAMorrisonLab and @potoyangroup on the thermoresponsive behaviour of mononucleosome condensates and the viscoelasticity of tail/DNA condensates
When @gable_wadsworth showed me that RNAs undergo phase separation upon heating, I thought that was incredibly cool. Today we celebrated this work appearing in @NatureChemistry
Grateful to all authors & collaborators @PappulabWashU & Gopalan Lab @ OSU

📚 Delighted to have been part of this incredible research journey in the soft matter physics lab led by Dr. Sajal Ghosh! 🎉 Their latest paper is now available in Langmuir (https://t.co/mJQc6uYM25). 📝🔬 Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work!
Why is an ionic liquid harmful to bacteria but not to a human? Check this out in our article in Langmuir that investigates the cholesterol controlled interaction of ionic liquids with lipid membranes.
