this is getting f*cking dangerous...
REA creator just dropped 20 GitHub repos to build a f*cking reverse engineering studio:
[01] analysis core
[02] mobile & apps
[03] binary & low-level
[04] network & runtime
[05] rebuild & verify
how it runs: binary -> REA -> SPEC.md -> rebuild -> oracle -> retry
point it at any app and watch it explain itself.
Vinix's ISO size has gone down from 1 GB to just 100 MB!
This was achieved by removing Firefox, X11, debug info, and many other packages that can be easily installed.
An yes, Vinix doesn't need X11 to run, it has its own WS.

C designated initializers let you set only the elements you care about
everything else gets zero-initialized automatically, making sparse tables clean and simple to write
THIS IS F**KING INSANE.
A Chinese developer built a free tool that automatically creates videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
It’s called MoneyPrinterTurbo, and it has over 100,000 GitHub stars.
Some creators are reportedly making $4,000+ a month with faceless channels using similar workflows.
Here’s how it works:
Enter a topic or keyword.
AI generates the script, voiceover, and subtitles.
It finds visuals, edits everything, and produces a ready-to-publish video.
All in one workflow.
If you’re looking to build a faceless content channel, this is worth checking out.

claude + REA can rebuild software features without copying a single line of code
opus 5.5 reads what REA finds inside a program, then rebuilds the feature in a separate clean-room setup.
here's how to do it:
1. run npx rea-agents setup to connect REA to Claude Code
2. pick a feature and let REA figure out how it works. save the behavior and rules in a spec file
3. start a fresh Claude session with only that spec. rebuild the feature without touching the original code
4. use /goal to run the tests and check 3 intentionally broken versions. all 3 must fail
one project recovered 697 functions in just 12 days, with 696 exact matches.
the real trick is building tests that catch mistakes before they become part of the finished software.
Ubuntu 26.10 Stonking Stingray has emerged with agility and grace. 🌊
“Earlier this year, we set out a roadmap for AI on Ubuntu. Stonking Stingray delivers the first milestone through the integration of Myna: a speech-to-text agent that utilizes on-device LLMs. We’ve led Ubuntu’s first AI integration with accessibility to ensure that cutting-edge features are available to all users from day one.
Users will also benefit from enhanced security features. Ubuntu 26.10 completes the migration to Rust-based coreutils, and broadens device support for TPM-backed FDE. Stonking Stingray is symbolic of Ubuntu’s journey to not just build up, but also build out.”

Why people should learn to code by hand: it's a mechanism for learning and teaching.
In much the same way you should still learn calculus, even if writing it by hand isn't that "useful" for your career.
@karpathy's series on llm's is a wonderful example (it's incredible btw).
Come in knowing a little calc AND python and you'll get a ton out of it very quickly. Following this would be much harder not knowing operator overloading, FP arithmetic, classes, etc.
The future is not writing python, rust, or asm by hand. But just like learning mathematical notation, grokking one or a few PLs well is a foundation on which you can build a lot of other deep knowledge, and gain a strong sense of computing systems.
Rust compiler bug: rustc uses a weak Path hash (ignores separators) for source file IDs. 🕷️
Two different paths can collide → compiler substitutes one file’s contents for the other.
Example:
data/baselines/table.rs
collides with
database/line/stable.rs
