And again. This time he's on FB dating, choosing women my age, from my area with my distinct hobby. He had a hit tonight, someone who knows me pretty well, but he asked so many personal q's about me that she (thankfully) saw 🚩🚩, blocked him & rang me.
Police have been informed
So, after nearly 10 years, the Nex has crawled out of the woodwork. He must have deep stalked as he's DMd friends I met long after he was gone.
I was shaken, but not scared.
He never physically cheated. He was just messaging multiple women, telling them I was an abusive drunk but he loved me and tried oh so hard. He just loved them telling him what an amazing man he was who deserved so much better!! It broke me back then, now I think it's hilarious!
@libriscent They say abusers cry & apologise to make things right. In 3 years he never once apologised or even acknowledged what he'd done to me; it was always him forgiving me for upsetting him or winding him up so much that I'd made him lash out, and how much it had hurt him to do that.
Reactive abuse is a setup. A narcissist pokes, provokes, nitpicks, insults, gaslights, and keeps grinding away at you until you finally explode. The moment you react, they flip the script and pretend you’re the real problem. They focus on your outburst and ignore everything they did to push you there. It’s a control move. It lets them play the victim, dodge accountability, and make you second guess yourself.
Feeling slightly vulnerable tonight - don't know why. Started a chat with ChatGPT that got very deep, raw and personal about my trauma with It. Damn that AI is good! Highly recommend if you want an offload chat but anonymous #ChatGPT
The truth about toxic people: They know exactly what they're doing. The guilt trips. The manipulation. The drama. It's not accidental. It's strategy. Stop making excuses for them. They're not broken. They're choosing this. Your empathy is enabling them. Sometimes love means leaving.
