The biggest driver was (according to Statistics Canada) crude oil exports.

The high price of oil pushed up trade revenues. There is no evidence that this was because of Carney’s/Liberal policies.

@newstart_2024 My doc recommended it after I gained almost 50 pounds from a torn Achilles. I’ve been on Wegovy about a year, but now on Zepbound. I’ve lost around 40 lbs, but am actually more muscular than when I started. (I’ve always been athletic, and lift weights 4 days per week.)

@hanno_sauer Cops aren’t being cops 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. They have “normal” lives when not working. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean there isn’t risk you aren’t aware of. In fact, I’d be willing to bet most cops are better at assessing actual risk in everyday life.

@mochiibunuwu @newstart_2024 Go look up the definition of “strawman”. I didn’t distort your argument… …I agree, GLP-1s can have serious side effects and shouldn’t be treated casually. But obesity itself also causes serious long-term harm, so for many patients this becomes a risk-vs-benefit decision.

@mochiibunuwu @newstart_2024 All medications are a cost/benefit calculation. People die every year from taking Advil, Tylenol, etc, for goodness sake. There is no such thing as a completely “safe” medication. If someone is 100lbs overweight chances are, being that heavy is less healthy than taking GLP1’s.

@Brady_H @hubermanlab On the highest dose of Wegovy I did experience anhedonia in relation to food and alcohol, but nowhere else. Still very motivated to exercise and find it rewarding. I did lower my dose and found a sweet spot. Interesting to see how the same drug affects different people.

@healthylifeMD @hubermanlab On Wegovy for a year. Had to cut back from max dose due to anhedonia. No “reward” from food or alcohol (craft beer guy). No blunted motivation elsewhere. Still eager to work out 5 days a week. Spoke to my doctor, varied to lower dose and found a sweet spot. Still losing weight.

@SoundMoneyRocks @TonySeruga Wound ballistics say differently. Pistol calibre firearms can be poor at quickly incapacitating humans. People can soak up a lot of 9mm, .40, and .45 and keep going. Ask a military surgeon, or big city ER doc. They can’t tell the difference between a 9mm, .40, or .45 wound track.

@elonmusk That’s absolutely not what this study showed. They built a mathematical model, evaluating an imaginary AI chat bot. Essentially, they made a mathematical model answering the question, “What if an AI chat bot agreed with you all the time?” ChatGPT was not involved.

@sauceandsnipe87 @SourApples11 @_10delta_ There are several heavy oil upgraders in Alberta. Bitumen is also sent to the US to be refined because there is so much of it, and it’s cheap to do so. Also, the aviation fuel refinery near Edmonton, AB, supplies the western provinces and northwestern United States with jet fuel.
