திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தின் தலைமையிலான மதச்சார்பற்ற முற்போக்குக் கூட்டணியை ஆதரித்து வாக்களித்த தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நான் எனது மனமார்ந்த நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.

வாக்களித்தவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, வாக்களிக்க மறந்தவர்களுக்கும் சேர்த்தே ஆட்சி நடத்தினேன்.

அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் உண்மையாக இருந்தேன். நான் எனது மனச்சாட்சிப்படியே செயல்பட்டேன்.

நான் எனது சக்தியை மீறி உழைத்தேன். என்னைப் போன்றே களத்தில் உழைத்த என் உயிரோடு கலந்திர���க்கும் தலைவர் கலைஞரின் அன்பு உடன்பிறப்புகள் அனைவருக்கும் எனது நெஞ்சார்ந்த நன்றி!

எனது அரசியல் பொதுவாழ்வில் அதிகப்படியான வெற்றியையும் பார்த்துள்ளேன்; தோல்விகளையும் சந்தித்துள்ளேன்.

எனவே இலட்சியமும் கொள்கையும்தான் முக்கியமே தவிர, வெற்றி தோல்விகள் மட்டுமல்ல என்று செயல்படக் கூடியவன் நான்.

அதனால் திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தின் அரசியல் பயணம் தொய்வில்லாமல் தொடரும்.

தமிழகத்தின் கரூரில் நடிகரும், தமிழக வெற்றி கழகம் (தவ��க) தலைவருமான திரு. விஜய் பிரச்சாரத்தின்போது ஏற்பட்ட கூட்டநெரிசல் சம்பவம் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமானது. ஆரம்பகட்ட தகவலின்படி, இந்த விபத்தில் 31 பேர் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர் என்பதை அறிந்து நான் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தேன். இறந்தவர்களில் ஆறு குழந்தைகளும் அடங்குவர் என்பது மனவேதனை அளிக்கிறது. உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கு எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். காயமடைந்தவர்களுக்கு சிறந்த மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை அளிக்குமாறு தமிழக அரசை தாழ்மையுடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

Chemmani Siththupaththi Mass Grave – Excavation Phase 2, Day 14

The excavation is now on its 14th day of Phase 2, following 9 days in Phase 1, totaling 23 days so far. A total of 63 human skeletons have been found, with 54 fully exhumed.

Today’s work was led by Professor Raj Somadeva and Dr. Piranavan Sellaiah, with six forensic doctors from Colombo, Karapitiya, and Ragama hospitals, plus archaeology students from Jaffna University.

Suspected remains of a child were also uncovered today, including pieces of a girl’s dress, a rubber slipper, and other personal items.

Phase 2 will pause tomorrow but is expected to resume soon.
