@TheGingerBill@aramh The most useful feature of TUIs for me is that I can have my exact work state saved via tmux sessions (great for switching between remote working locations). Historically, they also usually have a UX tailored around keyboard actions/fuzzy finding, which is very useful.
@MaDeR_Levap@SawyerMerritt SpaceX (and really all of Elons companies) specialize in converting the impossible to merely late.
Bet against his predicted outcomes at your peril.
Bring back insane asylums, workhouses, and vagrancy laws. There's nothing kind or compassionate about letting mentally-ill drug addicts roam the streets like 28 Days Later. And it makes for a terrible city experience for everyone else too.
I’m so proud of the entire Falcon 9 team (ok the whole SpaceX team)! Landing a rocket (over 10 years ago) paved the way for Falcon to change the game on getting payloads to orbit. Falcon 9 is a mostly reusable system that is far more reliable, far more economical and far less wasteful than its “use once and toss” rocket counterparts. Starship is Falcon 9’s successor and will be both fully and rapidly reusable (think airplanes) and that will make for a very exciting space future.
Congrats once again to the Falcon 9 and broader SpaceX team!
A fully and rapidly reusable rocket will fundamentally change how humanity accesses outer space. “The Holy Grail of Rocketry” continues the ongoing Starship series with a look back at the scrappy days of SpaceX engineers proving reuse was possible and takes you onboard a high-seas race to recover a floating Starship
@globeandmail CPPIB should be disbanded immediately. Move back to the original passive investment strategy and save Canadian taxpayers millions of dollars. CPP should not be a jobs program for worse than do-nothing finance bros.
@dhh@SirJul1337 Would be cool if this could be generalized to work on all websites with some plugin. At least the header/id jumping, page search, translation selection, etc.
@Erdayastronaut@SawyerMerritt@artsimage Fairly certain that the full-screen FSD visualisation is not the default behavior. Check your Self-Driving settings menu to untoggle the full screen visualisation option.
But I agree, it would be nice to have an option to maximize the map view.
This whole statement contains zero information except that the Europeans want to ingest US space sovereignty into their regulatory maw. More cookie banners!
Sorry, thank you but no thank you. The table stakes to have a useful or valid opinion in space are extremely high and going up.
If you must have a number, it's currently a launch capacity above 2000 T/year.
I'm not surprised that US interests noped out of this.
Europe realizing a decade after the fact that by standing still they've been left far behind, and not yet realizing they lack the institutions or will to catch up, then spending two years workshopping this statement of priorities rather than machining inconel, is diagnostic. The Europeans will be spectators from this point out. They can gesticulate at the ref but he's on the other side of their TV.
@BeardedTesla@JoshWest247 Would be cool if Tesla added an "app" in the Cybercab which brought up all the camera views, similar to what was just recently added to customer cars in the service menu. It's totally reasonable for users to want to view their surroundings before exiting the vehicle.
@ChuckCook@bot If Grok @Bot is so good, then someone at Tesla ought to get it working on a official Tesla app for Android watches.
Would be great to be able to start climate control without pulling out the phone. 🙂
As a Louisiana native (I was born and raised in and around Baton Rouge), I’m excited to share this post. Building off of what we have learned about Starship here in Starbase, Texas and about cadence at both the Cape and Vandenberg, this will be the first launch site ever purpose built to truly achieve the rate required for a spacefaring civilization.
@DevinOlsenn Can you check if you can get Grok to play a specific song or album, or just something by an artist on Spotify? Or even with a vague query like "play the most popular song(s) from X year".
