@pho292@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi Yes this is correct. I am also saying the very same thing that people today would prefer using their nationality name but they all are the habitants of Indian subcontinent because pre 1947 there was no Bangladesh, India or Pakistan. It's British India and princely states.
@pho292@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi I never wrote that Kashmir region is a single political entity.
I am strictly referring to geography only.
Geographically it's Kashmir region.
It's how any apolitical describer knows it.
@pho292@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi It's human nature to distinguish one another and it's subjective. The reality is all three nations fall in Indian subcontinent which is in south Asia 🙂 very simple.
@pho292@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi People have tendency to adopt what is being propogated. As an academic, we should not refer to layman.
As I said that India, Bangladesh & Pakistan are in Indian subcontinent and this will never change but the people will like to say their nationality name instead.
@pho292@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi I have noticed that your reference is limited to Indian government policies.
I am not talking about political map.
I am only referring to geography.
@GasheBraer@HusseinRafidi Kashmir is a region. Valley of Kashmir is just a portion of it hence it's not incorrect to count Ladakh in northern and eastern Kashmir region.
@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi I never said there is some state with the name of Kashmir. Kashmir is a region that's a geographical area name while state or territory are political/legal nomenclatures.
@GasheBraer@HusseinRafidi Not separate. Don't confuse with political decisions.
It's a region indeed, that is part of Kashmir region, Indian subcontinent, Asia.
This is how the geographic language is.
@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh are just political realignments. All of them will stay in Kashmir region eternally no matter if Jammu becomes India, the valley becomes Pakistan and Ladakh becomes China. The region will be Kashmir because it's not a political but geographical thing.
@GasheBraer@al_paccino05@HusseinRafidi You are relying on ai . No need of it.
Let me give you another example.
Bangladesh, India and Pakistan are part of Indian subcontinent. Politically they are three separate countries but this doesn't mean they are no more in Indian subcontinent.
@GasheBraer@HusseinRafidi I have no reason to deny your claim but your opinion is not matching with Kashmiris .
The facts are available for free if you want to look into them and update.
Don't confuse Kashmir region with state of Jammu and Kashmir the so-called union territory nowadays.
@GasheBraer@HusseinRafidi 🙂 ask someone to enlight you.
I am gifting you some key points:
Kashmir is a region of the northwestern Indian subcontinent. It is bounded by Xinjiang,Tibet,HP, Punjab,🇵🇰&🇦🇫 with a total area of some 85,800 square miles.
@GasheBraer@HusseinRafidi Kashmir is a region. Valley of Kashmir is just a portion of it hence it's not incorrect to count Ladakh in northern and eastern Kashmir region.
