6 years into marriage, and today was the first time a male doctor was going to attend to me. Every doctor in my records had always been female.

When I arrived, the receptionist said, "The only doctor available today is male."

I replied, "That's okay. Give me a minute to speak with my spouse If can proceed."

The smile on the receptionist's face said it all.

For us women who choose the hijab, modesty isn't something we put on when we leave the house and take off when it's inconvenient. It's a way of life. Consulting my husband wasn't about weakness; it was about honoring the role Allah has given him as the head of our home and preserving the values we strive to live by. There is a quiet peace in living by your principles, even in the smallest moments.

Alhamdulillah.

We successfully renovated 2 schools in Northern Nigeria, restoring 4 blocks of classrooms, toilets and providing new chairs and books for the students.

Every child deserves a safe place to learn and dream. This is more than a renovation it’s an investment in the future.
