𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 | 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐌 𝐞𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚

The Consultative Meet of Nodal Officers of the PM eVidya 200 DTH TV Channels initiative successfully concluded on 23 January 2026 at GCERT, Vidya Bhavan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with a strong call to enhance content quality, ensure optimum utilisation of DTH TV channels, and advance the vision of PM eVidya.

The valedictory session was graced by Col. Shakeel Ahmad, Secretary, NIOS, who urged all stakeholders to further strengthen the initiative.

Shri Rajesh Patel, Director, SATCOMS, BISAG-N, MeitY, Government of India, reiterated BISAG-N’s commitment to supporting the smooth operation of all 200 PM eVidya DTH TV channels nationwide. Certificates of participation were also distributed.

The three-day meet (21–23 January 2026) was jointly organised by CIET, NCERT, New Delhi; GCERT, Government of Gujarat; and BISAG-N, Gandhinagar, with participation from 24 States, 4 Union Territories and 7 Autonomous Bodies, engaging 60+ participants.

Sessions on the PM eVidya Mobile App, smart channel management portal, state-of-the-art studio design, use of AI in eContent, and a visit to BISAG-N highlighted the collective commitment to equitable access to quality education through DTH TV channels.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐌 𝐞𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐃𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐕 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬 | 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫
The Consultative Meet of Nodal Officers of PM eVidya 200 DTH TV Channels was inaugurated today at the GCERT campus, Gandhinagar, jointly organised by CIET-NCERT (New Delhi), GCERT, and BISAG-N (Gandhinagar) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The three-day meet brings together 60+ participants and stakeholders from 24 States, 4 Union Territories, and 6 Autonomous Bodies under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, GoI.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri P.K. Trivedi, Director, GCERT, who highlighted the transformative role of PM eVidya and the importance of engaging, quality eContent.

Shri Rajesh Patel, Director, SETCOM, BISAG-N, emphasized the strength and reliability of the technical infrastructure, while Dr. Avaniba Mori, Deputy Director, GCERT, shared insights on the impact of online education through the Vande Gujarat channels.

Joining virtually, Shri Harikumar Janakiraman, Director (Digital Education), DoSEL, MoE, Government of India and Prof. Amarendra Prasad Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT, inspired participants to enhance the reach, utility, and credibility of PM eVidya. Aligning with NEP-2020, they stressed the integration of Technological Holism to ensure inclusive and quality education reaches every learner, even in the most remote areas.
The workshop will focus on strengthening educational broadcasting, enhancing digital content quality, and fostering collaboration and synergy among States and UTs. The program is coordinated by Dr. Abhay kumar, Associate Professor, CIET-NCERT, New Delhi
