@katelyn_lesse meee😅 Built Flink Platform @ Confluent, infra with k8s/docker/terraform/Go, large databases/data pipelines and more. have a ton of personal infra projects going with AI and exploring AI now. https://t.co/lK8yCRml3E
@fasterthanlime it would freeze more on some distros (Manjaro) than others (Ubuntu). Windows rarely froze. im still not a 100% sure but I think the bad wifi card was the cause.
@fasterthanlime debugged this intermittently for like months and seem to have it fixed recently. I disabled a cheap wifi/Bluetooth card, downclocked RAM to 2666 and disabled everything related to PBO & Ryzen overclocking. PSU & RAM replacement did not work. memtest never showed problems.
@ehn Maybe its only an artifact of how CPU% is measured? I could imagine how cheap, pre-emptible but frequent polling would appear to be CPU heavy even if it has little real impact
@ChanaMessinger@reasonisfun because in the real world few people have the time or inclination to go that deep, so the only shot you have at convincing/communicating is at a much more zoomed out level. as for probability and math it can't describe ideas related to culture/people (ribbonfarm) as well as words
@ChanaMessinger@reasonisfun i mean like many great articles on https://t.co/SMsnkiAU9U are deeply analytical, but 5k+ words long because anything complex & novel is inherently difficult to condense. i see (informed) feeling as a far more efficient way to process/talk about those things.
@antonhowes Measures density of a liquid? The user would turn the top until liquid flows out of the holes to pull in a fixed volume. The dials should correspond to how much effort it took to pull in, which indicates weight and maybe viscosity.
@propensive Seems difficult to eyeball after defining. I defined northfacing as point where line going straight up does not intersect the continent. Sinilar for south. If both, call it interior. Then a lot of points which visually seem southfacing (west coast of south america) are interior
