@SystematicPeter When trading Bitcoin this way, what market open and close times do you prefer? CME market hours? NY? Something else? Thanks for sharing your idea.
Long trend following strategy on crypto, in this case BTC with relatively lower risk per trade.
Deployed it live near the top in Oct 2025, and we got a drawdown to start off! Acting a bit typical of this type of strategy: small consecutive losses, then a bigger win.
@Truecrypto He used to threaten with tariffs. Now he starts wars, changes story several times a day and threatens with genocide. It's not the same Trump who campaigned on no new wars.
Trump: "We're gonna bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong". Keep in mind that an initial justification for the war was to "help" Iranians.
Wow this was a bad take. Yes, fees are low, because usage is so low. But what happens long-term if this remains the case? What will secure the network then?

During the Blocksize Wars, many believed Bitcoin faced an imminent scalability crisis.
A decade later, transaction fees remain low and bandwidth is abundant.
A reminder that markets and innovation often resolve challenges more effectively than urgency or intervention.
@therationalroot@SamuelPatt But how can LN be a good solution if you still need L1 transactions to start using it personally? If any meaningful number of people started using it regularly, the L1 bottleneck still would create such a long queue it would discourage use.
The issue with Lightning as payment layer is that it requires an L1 transaction to start using. So unless L1 capacity goes up, it can never handle any mass adoption as payment layer anyhow.
Possible BTC was hijacked. But no matter if it was or not, seems it sure lost its chance of becoming a P2P payment system. Now, since no one is basically using its L1, how will it stay secure long-term? If going for inflation it will break the digital gold narrative.
