Looks like there was little mention in the media yesterday of what should have been a solemn day of remembrance. I am not surprised at the lack of national remembrance.
June the 6th, 1944. A date that should be remembered and honored was just another day in passing to the majority of America. No mystery there, as there has long been a falling away of memory among the present generations.
December 7, 1941 became a date that lived in infamy probably longer than any. But most Americans long ago suspended their reverence, while many others are completely unaware of what the date actually represents. As they were never taught the significance of the date or that it should be remembered with reverence.
And in all truth, such is the reality as it currently exists concerning 9/11. September 11th 2001 should have also been a day of ageless reverence. And it was for a few short years. And as we approach the twenty fifth anniversary, how many Americans will reflect on that day with any reverence over what was lost then and what has been lost since, as a result of that day. As I have observed over the last ten years? 9/11 moves deeper into our collective fading memory each year.
One thing I do know is this. The present day America is not the America I grew up in or the America I spent my career serving and defending. And it definitely is not the America it was in 2001
And this article speaks directly to some of the reasons why. What Hegseth did yesterday was to do nothing less than further tarnish the representation of himself and this administration. On the anniversary of D Day and the sacrifices made by so many. Hegseth chose to assail our allies by challenging their immigration policies and questioning their commitment to NATO, on a day when he was supposed to be there remembering American sacrifices to end tyranny over Europe eighty years ago.
Europe’s immigration policies and their non committal to fully supporting their participation in NATO, are both valid issues, but neither of which should have been the focus of a Remembrance Day and an anniversary remembrance of those who sacrificed so much.
I remember with reverence, the fortieth anniversary where Ronald Reagan stood atop Pointe du Hoc at Normandy and said:
“These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war.”
There were still many D Day veterans alive on that day and some of those who took those cliffs at great costs of life that day, were in the audience and Ronald Reagan gave them due honor, respect and the reverence they were entitled to. In a speech to this day, that remains the preeminent example of what a true commander in chief exhibits, when addressing our history, Reagan was a paragon of what an American president should be by representing this country with respect and reverence.
Something Donald Trump and his show pony Hegseth, and the rest of his administration, have absolutely no understanding of. They are too busy kissing Trump’s ass and cowing to their masters in Israel, to concern themselves with representing this nation or its people.
Ronald Reagan said on that 49th anniversary day:
“They fought with pride in their hearts and a prayer on their lips, knowing that some things are worth dying for, and knowing that there is a God who watches over those who fight for freedom.”
Does God watch over us today? When our leaders besmirch the memories of our honored dead. Or when we as a nation neglect to pause and reflect? And we fail to hold accountable those representing this nation.
I don’t believe so and it literally sickens me to observe it. Knowing there is little I can do aside from speaking my own truth and knowledge of what is right versus what is wrong.
Because once it all ends, I do not want it to be said, that I had no code and I had no honor, and God was watching. Because I know he is watching & taking notes.
Anyone remember when Rocky’s manager had him chase a chicken as part of his training? To improve his footwork and quickness? Well? Burgess Meridith’s character knew what he was doing.
So what say we put Pete Hegseth in a cage match to referee a fight between a bagger and a wolverine. And PS? He doesn’t
get to wear any cups or gloves or protective gear. It’s just his responsibility to insure a fair fight and to intervene when they are at stalemate.
Maybe let Cushner and Whitkoff be the cut
Men in the corners. And Marco Rubio can be the ring announcer.
Anyone agree with that analogy? Because that is exactly what it seems like to me, looking at the Middle East and Israel. Israel is the avowed enemy of every middle eastern state and they act like badgers, while Iran is the undisputed wolverine to Israel’s threat. Which means neither one will quit until the other one is dead.
Russia is a bear, while China is grey wolf and America is the mountain lion. Three of the only animals capable of taking down either a badger or a wolverine. But not without a helluva battle and significant cost.
That’s the way I see this right now. And I say “let the games begin.”
TITLE XI SEC. 622: “Intelligence sharing and related security exchanges with Israel SHALL NOT be suspended, reduced, or otherwise materially limited.”
This is TREASON. I’m not being hyperbolic. This is blatant TREASON.
@LionelMedia It is what it is Lionel. Some women just like showing off what’s between their legs. She is one, Cher is another. Shania Twain of late and Miley Cyrus and don’t even get me started on Beyonce or Shakira or the black female hip hop gang et al.
NO longer just gold, murder, blackmail, corrupted religion. This is a "whole of government take-over by Israel". Legislatively. And Not Just Section 224. @GenXGirl1994
@marklevinshow So. You are comparing Netanyahu to Churchill? That is laughable and disgusting. You want a comparison? Try Netanyahu and Hitler. A lot better match.
The Pentagon raised threat of Israeli spying on the U.S. to the highest level and AIPAC is openly cheering Republicans for section 224 in the NDAA that merges our military with Israel’s military.
Our government is being captured.

⚠️ Netanyahu does not want U.S. aid to end. He wants it rebranded as a “partnership” so American taxpayers stay locked in forever. That is not America First. That is foreign entanglement by another name. @RepThomasMassie exposes the trap.
Rep. Ritchie Torres was asked about AIPAC's influence in Congress and unconditional military aid to Israel.
His answer: "I have no clue what you're talking about. I've never heard of this."
@JayTC53@FBI_Response@FBI Vitriolic ad hominem are the weapons of choice for those who have no substance. Try making mud pies cupcake, that fits your mud slinging capabilities better.
