Climate change related disasters have a huge impact on mobility in Kenya requiring frequent tracking, yet there exists a huge data gap in this regard. The operationalization of The Data Tracking Matrix-DTM by @IOMKenya in coordination with @NDMA_Kenya , @KenyaNcm bridges this gap
@NDMU_Kenya in collaboration with @IOMKenya and the Kenya National Coordination Mechanism on Migration convened a multiagency workshop on 4th & 5th Apr 23 to review the National Emergency Response Plan 2014 with a view to mainstream mobility dynamics, as a best practice.
@DrDOchieng observed that the initial review workshop laid a concrete foundation upon which subsequent activities will be premised towards successful inclusion of vulnerable populations (including migrants) in the national response plan and other DRM initiatives.
Earlier, Director Corporate Services Ms. Ann Mburu officiated the closing ceremony for 22 participants after successful completion of 2-week Basic Statistics Course supported by @StatsSweden and @ONS. Trainees drawn from 11counties, @ImmigrationDept@zamstats graduated. #Stats
