@dhruv2038@deedydas I am in your camp. Why 10 brokers will have 10 different target prices for the same stock; why polls for US election outcomes wrong even at 11th hour.
@FundamentEdge Love your post, and completely agree. Fundamental alpha likely in 9 months+, and I believe clear-minded generalists can do well (e.g. Warren Buffett talked about the wrong judgement on GEICO by insurance specialists).
Verdad's weekly letter mentioned International Value finally did well this year; interestingly trend follower strategies didn't, reported by WSJ. No one strategy can consistently outperform every year. https://t.co/SYI9SdHfkU https://t.co/9knhooSJ9o
$30B+ to burn on additional subsidies in the ongoing โ100-day food delivery warโ in China among BABA, Meituan and JD. Such a waste. Such a shame that most of the energy has been devoted to the game of racing to zero instead of moonshot investments.
@FundamentEdge Love your post. We are one of your 50+ (beta launch soon). 4th point is spot-on - diversity of investor strategies makes this vertical incredibly heterogeneous, unlike other AI tool segments that can focus on one work flow and scale fast (e.g. coding).
Gemini 2.5 Pro's leaderboard entry has been updated with costs, now that it available through a paid API. It cost $6 to run the aider polyglot coding benchmark on Gemini, lower than the top 10 other entries except for DeepSeek's models.

#GoogleCloudNext pls add a good tracing feature into the agent sdk? manual log / debug for eng is fine. But openai agents sdk's off-the-shelf tracing support was super helpful for our non-eng members to eval and iterate fast.
Excited to try Google's new agent SDK (looks similar to Openai's from a first quick look) and see all are moving towards solving the interface issue (A2A, MCP).
Totally agree. Building on unstable foundations with the goal of quick win / hype is not sustainable. First waves are pioneers that help the industry educate, explore, perfect tools and fund ecosystem.
AI will move into a window (later this year) that I would call "second mover's advantage." That is, the first obvious moves that could be big are played out given the technology/funding cycle. The rest of us get to watch how it worked out, take stock of the pace, understand how users use it, and better consider where it will be vs where it was--without baggage.
Much of mobile and web had second movers that became dominant.
@IterIntellectus@mreiffy Info overload / disinformation / incentive & economics for high quality media become more important to solve. Hearing this every day from our user interviews
