Blast from the past! The first-ever #Spatiate drawing created natively on a @magicleap (from my @AcrossXR days) and pushed to @GoogleARVR Poly back in August. Can’t wait to see your app, Gerald! What a journey from #OC3 to now :)
#MagicLeap play #LEAPcon friends and the future of #XR as Language and #Healthcare new blog jammed full of videos, links and vision from the leaders I learn from. https://t.co/lNVnBjYSAK | #spatiate by @acrossXR https://t.co/vV2XkhOhev
Anyone trying to sell you AR over VR, or VR over AR has some kind of vested interest. To build for either, you'll use the same tools, the same skillset, the same file formats, and you'll be designing embodied interactions in either.
Doodling a flower on #Spatiate after years of drawing it in the 2D margins of my notebook. It takes time to get used to a 3D canvas. What will be the standard 3D doodles of the future? @AcrossXR@magicleap#mixedreality#doodles#acrossxr
“The 500 foot [AR] dragon that lives in Central Park, I want to see the dragon, you want to see the dragon, [but] we may not all be using Magic Leap. How do we all see the dragon? We need to cooperate. We need to interoperate. There needs to be standards.” https://t.co/bIfWNprxUQ
Should have posted this the other night during #LEAPcon - this is a bunch of us nerds playing around with a multi-user painting app on the @magicleap along with iOS devices in the hotel bar at midnight. Brilliant work by @slukas
“You should be able to build something and be able to interoperate with a phone, a tablet, a VR system, other future device” - @rabovitz https://t.co/B1qVzQZbpt
First attempt at shared experience between #ARKit, #MagicLeap and Mac. The mac acts as a host and it can see both iPhone and ML1. UNET-based. Up and running in just a few minutes. I think I know where I’ll spend most of my time in the next few weeks!
The following video (credit to #leapsquad@slukas and @AcrossXR) really got me thinking of how a fun and simple rapid prototyping tool for #XR should work. 3Dimensional sketching and drawing, the ability to sketch a #3D object, a space, a menu, virtually anything 4/6
@gemisisDev@slukas@juliey4@Snap Instinct == reflex == initial movements within seconds while clearly ignoring what they see on the screen going sideways without adjusting for them
