Making places good for active travel: infra design, policy/strategy, concept masterplanning, LCWIPs, etc. I rarely Tweet here - instead go to @cyclisethecity
@ShowMeASignBryn @MorganM1807 @El_Seguidor_FCB 8,000 vehicles per day - I’m amazed that the business case succeeded at all. That money could be so much better spent!
@TheLudlows@SustransLondon@willnorman The cost is £20k including purchase and transport. Rental will be about £140 per day, slightly less than an e-taxi and with lower risk to you. And yes, you can use modal filters and cycle lanes. Interested?
@londontaxidrive@SustransLondon There is currently no licence requirement, however I would like one introduced to help regulate the industry. Insurance will be a requirement as with any business and is factored into the daily cost.
@JackieC5225@WC1Robert@TfL@UnitedCabbies@The_LCDC@TheLTDA There is o copyright on the word ‘taxi’. However the @thequicab will provide alternative employment for taxi drivers looking for a healthier job that gives them physical fitness and an income. They’ll be available for rent, with priority given to ‘drivers’ with the Knowkedge.

@MorganM1807 Have you thought about getting an e-bike? Also - don’t grind away in high gears or wear shorts in cold weather. I see people do this all the time and I just think “KNEES!!” Instead, try to spin at c-100rpm.
@willnorman@MayorofLondon@TfL@LambethCouncil Looks very good indeed, Will. One thing - pls can you insist engineers provide direct pedestrian crossings without the stagger for cycleways (or at least a very minimal indicative one that still indicates 2 crossings without pedestrians having to divert)?
Much needed scheme.
@RantyHighwayman Gawd. It’s the sort of thing that, at times, really makes me doubt my commitment to supporting cycle infrastructure - I’ve experienced / seen some pretty close shaves. Am I doing the right thing?? Or does Vincent have a point?
@MorganM1807 @CarryMe_Bikes Seems to me you have an excuse to visit London and try out some fine specimens. Then ride one home, sponsored, to raise money for charidee.
@RantyHighwayman Upper Clapton. Near QW2. Canals, open spaces near. TfL about to build a cycle route to Dalston. Typical room in flat share £700pcm, so £24k. Not gentrified, cheapest part of Hackney. 25 mins to City; 30-40 mins to Farringdon/Holborn.
@CityInfinityUK @Spokes4FolksInv@HighlandCouncil @Katieonthebike Indeed! Hopefully some rather good writers might be employed to help put funding bids together!
