Miyamoto Musashi killed his first man at 13. Fought over 60 duels. Never lost a single one. Then at the peak of his power he walked away from fighting entirely and became a painter. A calligrapher. A philosopher.
He wrote The Book of Five Rings in a cave weeks before he died. Its still one of the greatest strategy books ever written. 400 years later and people are still studying it.
But heres the thing about Musashi that people get wrong. They think he was great because he was violent. He wasnt. He was great because he was obsessed with understanding. Every fight was a lesson. Every opponent was a teacher. He didnt fight to kill. He fought to learn.
After 60 duels he had learned everything combat could teach him. So he moved on. Because mastery was never the destination. Mastery was the method. The destination was understanding.
He said "Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love." What he meant was. Dont let any single emotion or desire own you. Be bigger than your impulses. Master yourself before you try to master anything else.
Most people are slaves to their emotions and call it being authentic. Musashi would say thats just being weak and giving it a nice name.
The path is discipline. The path is study. The path is relentless self improvement not because the world demands it but because you owe it to yourself. The sword was just the tool. The self was always the project.
You've been lied to about Nicotine.
All you've been told is how addictive & terrible it is for your health...
But when used correctly?
It's the ultimate health hack.
Here are the secrets 99% of people don't know about nicotine (& how beneficial it can be):
First crypto bull market I almost became a millionaire.
Second crypto bull market I reached financial freedom.
I now can work with whoever I want, whenever and do whatever.
Lessons learned along the way:
1. $10mil+ is enough to retire, despite what crypto X says.
2. Retirement sucks but freedom is great.
3. Trading is more a human psychology game than a numbers game.
4. Prepare in the bear market and the bull market is money printing.
5. People will always think you got lucky. Don't take it personally, it's just cope.
6. Every trading day in a bull market is like two weeks in a bear market.
7. Once you learn consistency, you can succeed at anything.
8. People who get crazy rich quickly from crypto end up in jail or broke.
9. 5 good X accounts are enough to get all the crypto market information you need.
10. Watch "Blue Lock" or "Kengan Ashura" when you feel burnt out.
11. 90% of people will make more money buying $BTC + $ETH and chilling.
12. The other 10% have done my free crypto trading course on telegram.
13. Build long term things only. Once the bull market ends, everything short term collapses.
14. Never idolise individuals. We're all human and flawed.
15. There is a brutal invisible tax if you get rich through luck. You pay with the constant fear of losing wealth that isn't earned.
16. Make patience your edge, no one wants to copy that.
17. The greatest pleasures in life are free.
This time must be different, right?
• #Bitcoin dominance rising
• Alts getting smashed
• Liquidity drying up
• Retail has vanished
• Good news has no impact on prices
Well, actually, this is typical market behaviour at this stage in the cycle.
A few thoughts.👇
We're in the most difficult market phase, where time capitulation really starts to set in.
Sustained bleeding impacts investor confidence more than a swift decline.
For that reason, most retail participants have opted out. They're either out of cash, or just completely apathetic towards the market.
But historically, this has been the worst time to do so.
We're entering a pivotal accumulation phase, where every dollar needs to be allocated wisely.
How do you approach this?
Firstly, accept that $BTC is likely to lead in the early stages of the bull run, as it has in the past.
Many of next year's catalysts are BTC specific (halving, spot ETF) - and although there are clear flow on effects into other crypto sectors, it's not wise to fade BTC during this period.
Thus, investing solely in alts (depending on your financial situation) probably isn't advisable.
I prefer to employ a top-down approach to the market.
Start with the pillars (BTC + $ETH), and work your way down the risk spectrum. Prioritise quality first. Now isn't the time to ape blindly into low-quality assets. You can get away with that during bull mania, you can't now.
If you take one thing from this post, remember this: "When trying to make money, act slowly. When trying to preserve money, act quickly."
Take a slow and steady approach to accumulation.
Cash is still king during this phase.
Many of next cycle's top performers likely aren't even released yet. And even if they do exist, the top narratives (although we have a rough idea), haven't fully cemented themselves.
I'd rather miss an opportunity or two now, than exhaust liquidity too early and scramble when there's a clear play on the table.
You need to know when to be aggressive, and when to observe caution. Remember, no position is still a position.
So, whilst others are checking out - I'm laser-focused on building strong foundations for the coming years.
The next 6 months will separate the sheep from the goats.
You can either choose to succumb to the market, or persevere and reap the rewards on the other side.
Despite the recent decline in funding, one sector remains markedly strong: Gaming.
Don't forget that crypto gaming is still one of crypto's biggest retail adoption verticals.
A young statistician saved their lives.
His insight (and how it can change yours):
During World War II, the U.S. wanted to add reinforcement armor to specific areas of its planes.
Analysts examined returning bombers and plotted the bullet holes and damage on them (as in the image below).
Based on this analysis, they came to the conclusion that adding armor to the tail, body, and wings would improve their odds of survival.
But a young statistician named Abraham Wald noted that this would be a tragic mistake.
By only plotting data on the planes that returned, they were systematically omitting the data on a critical, informative subset:
The planes that were damaged and unable to return.
Abraham Wald recognized a key fact:
• "Seen" planes had sustained damage that was survivable.
• "Unseen" planes had sustained damage that was not survivable.
Wald concluded that armor should be added to the *unharmed* regions of the returning planes (the areas without bullet holes on the image below).
His profound logic:
Where the survivors were unharmed was actually where the planes were most vulnerable.
Based on his insight, the military reinforced the engine and other vulnerable parts, significantly improving the safety of the crews during combat and saving thousands of lives.
Abraham Wald had identified a cognitive bias called "Survivorship Bias":
The error resulting from systematically focusing on survivors (successes) and ignoring casualties (failures) that causes us to miss the true base rates of survival (the actual probability of success) and arrive at flawed conclusions.
We see examples of Survivorship Bias all around us:
1. We read books on the common traits of successful people, but fail to consider all of the unsuccessful people who possessed those same traits.
2. We applaud the belief when we hear that an entrepreneur took out a second mortgage and succeeded, but fail to consider all of the entrepreneurs who did the same and went bankrupt.
3. We study the cultural strategies of the most successful companies, but fail to consider all of the companies that followed those same strategies and fell apart.
When we fail to consider the range of outcomes and the hidden evidence, we develop a skewed (and often incorrect) view of reality.
It cannot be avoided altogether, because the vast majority of books and history are written by and about the survivors and victors, but wherever possible, consider the unseen evidence.
Remember: What is unseen often has just as much value as what is seen.

The real bullrun will begin when the Fed starts to cut rates, and that will happen in mid-2024, mark these words.
All you need is to buy every dip at the end of the year, just like in 2022.
But 2024 and specially will not be like 2023, there will be real capital inflow again like in 2020/21.
I lost 70% of my net worth during the last bull run.
