Cabin Air Safety has been introduced in both chambers of Congress. Join me by contacting your U.S. Representative and both Senators to urge them to cosponsor the bill. Ensuring a high level of air quality is a vital safety concern for pilots and the public they serve. #ALPApilots https://t.co/nReZZQ9pbo
If she would have chosen abortion, you would have supported her, but because she chose to give birth, you question her agency and assume manipulation?
Pretty simple. What she wants to do with the baby is her choice and should be supported, whether that be abortion or giving birth.
Several potential reasons.
First, keep in mind airliner routes are rarely “direct” point to point. Aircraft are cleared along jet routes that are anchored by fixed and old school navigational systems like VORs. Even though GPS is used now, it’s always backed up by other systems in case the gps goes down.
Second, major airports have SID (standard instrument departures) that flow traffic away from inbound traffic. Which SID a flight is assigned is based on the which runway is being used for departure, direction of route, and other factors like weather. If your flight was assigned a souther flow SID, you will likely fly the whole SID to the south even though your eventual direction will be to the east. This will cause the route to look like yours.
Third, California inbound traffic is heavy. And outbound traffic is routed around it.
Fourth, weather. If there were storms, your route would flow around them.
Last, and perhaps the primary reason for your route is that Nevada, AZ, NM, are full of Restricted military airspace. If active at your climb/cruise altitudes, you would be assigned a route the goes around them.
@NinosMaron@chamath Ya all but that “trivial” taxi, takeoff, landing, and all non-normal situations/emergencies are flown by computer already! So close.
