@ChrisCillizza@chucktodd@chucktodd Listen to Jon Stewart's interview with Platner and tell me you still think Platner is the Democratic version of Trump;
@stevemagness Your point is short HIIT workouts aren't effective. So, maybe my question isn't relevant. Still, I see a lot of emphasis on endurance training for longevity, and I'd like to square that with the results of the study I mentioned.
@stevemagness There was a study that said tennis players lived longer than those who engaged in other sports or activities. Is tennis primarily a long HIIT session? Is there something flawed in that study that underestimates the value of more aerobic activity?
@stevemagness Wasn't there a study that said tennis players live the longest? What kind of benchmark would one have in that sport for measuring longevity potential? Is it simply a matter of playing a few hours a week?
@CaitlinPacific@Watchingwheels7 This is what I wrote on facebook in 2014 when I shared a link to that article: “I'm just three paragraphs into this article, but, seriously, they were the best three paragraphs I've ever read.” I regret not also noting how funny it was.
@BlueBoxDave So, you're saying he was entitled to shoot in self-defense. In that instant, how was shooting going to keep him from getting hit by the car? Either he was going to get out of the way (which he did) or he wasn't. Shooting her in the face wouldn't have (and didn't!) change anything
@ChrisCillizza No, not this at all. If one is acting in self-defense, they believe they can reduce the harm to them. In this case, shooting the driver objectively had zero chance of reducing any possible harm to the agent. In that one second, he was either getting hit by the car or he wasn’t.
@billmaher@KidRock Why can’t we appreciate someone having a more human side? There are many who speak of having attended dinners at Putin’s palace that end with Putin and his generals having giggling tickle fights in their underwear. If that’s not evidence of a man’s decency, I don’t know what is.
@VPrasadMDMPH Surprised that guests must consume alcohol with you to be invited back. There are plenty of teetotalers who are entertaining guests. Not everyone needs alcohol to put forth their most engaging, convivial self.
@davidfrum But now you no longer have a say in who the Republican presidential candidate is. In fact, shouldn't all Democrats re-register as Republicans so we can make sure a reasonable, moderate Republican gets the nom next time?
@ChrisCillizza It's hard to believe there's a potential Trump voter in Pennsylvania who was thinking of sitting this one out but will now get up off the couch and vote because an addled Biden (who is not running for president!) mumbled that Trump's supporters are garbage.
@bariweiss@thehonestlypod Wow, so many of your followers are Republican dogmatists. Hard to believe they can't see that a Trump without guardrails will not be 2019 over again. Sam won this debate handily.
@ChrisCillizza So far, every decision Harris has made has been just about perfect (and I was pro-Shapiro-for-veep, too). I'd like to see her answer tough questions, but the reality is 70 days is going to feel like a lifetime of news cycles and is plenty of time for her to face media scrutiny.
@SRealgoodman@LennyBernstein Bernstein was a handsome young man with a strong nose. Why would Bradley Cooper feel the need to make Bernstein look ugly with that ridiculous isosceles triangle glued to his face?
@SRealgoodman@LennyBernstein Noses (and ears) grow as we get older. All your pictures are of the older Leonard Bernstein. Bradley Cooper chose to give the young Bernstein the same bigger nose that the older Bernstein had. Doesn’t make sense.
