@JimHarris@StatistaCharts Based on current sales rather than market share I think it's more accurate to say that Tesla is the only real challenger to the dominant BYD https://t.co/lyNcFm1GQy
This is a good question with a longish answer. But the short answer is no.
The long answer (thread) Forest management practices (which have nothing to do with 'raking forests') have absolutely contributed to the size and intensity of wildfires over the last 100 or so years.
@matloff@AllenDowney I've had some similar experiences when asking it for R code that is a little more niche. Similarly if you didn't know any better it looks right then you realize it's importing libraries that don't exist.
@cxadlam @JanevskiAlex @progressive It also has to do with the stationarity of the risk. The risk of a house fire is relatively stationary and predictable. Which means it's easy for an actuary to price. Wildfire risk is non-stationary and hard to price.
@dataandme@frictionlog@rblalock@cesarcvz My Twitter feed is mostly stats and forest ecology, for a second I thought you were one of the forest people and was really confused about friction logging.
If you have a platform and especially if that platform is built around plying use of Indigenous knowledge aka TEK, you have an obligation to show up or at least vocally support the efforts to establish true co-management of Jackson state forest. https://t.co/m6ktsG5d2A

Renewable energy credits have long had major problems with additionality: showing that credits actually led to clean energy being built.
A new @NatureClimate study suggests that low quality of RECs means few companies are on track to meet their targets: https://t.co/7xaEL5AAM7
@ClimateDad77@sthlmresilience is that while the climate crisis needs to be addressed we can't address it at the cost of everything else (habitat destruction, novel entities, aerosols, etc.) (5/5)
@ClimateDad77@sthlmresilience So does that mean we should treat climate change as a boundary that's been crossed since it's driving one of the other boundaries? In any event personally I think one of the most important pieces of information to take away from planetary boundaries (4/n)
