I just realized that my pinned tweet is gone! (???)
So here it is *again,* with a picture this time:
I want to help honorable people do good things well.
@hmcrem That's right. June 14th 1775 is when we declared our independence. Because shooting you in the fucking face is clearly more telling you to fuck off then a piece of paper
Good morning Beautiful People. A coffee toast to the General.
OTD. George Washington arrived outside Boston on July 2, 1775, to assume command of the newly christened Continental Army.
He had been unanimously appointed commander-in-chief by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia , on June 15, 1775.
Equity asks us to look beyond sameness and consider what people actually need to thrive.
A just society does not ignore barriers, circumstances, or lived experiences. It works to remove what keeps people from dignity, opportunity, and full participation.
That is how we move closer to creating the Beloved Community.

Today in 1863, a 34-year-old college professor from Maine named Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain helps fend off repeated Confederate attacks against the left flank of the Union line at Gettysburg. The fight for Little Round Top will become one of the battle's most celebrated moments.
[Happy Bayonets!!! Day to all who celebrate.]
🇺🇸 30 Heroes in 30 Days — Lt. Michael P. Murphy: Legendary Medal of Honor Recipient
Countdown to July 4! 🇺🇸
Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy (1976–2005) was a Navy SEAL officer whose extraordinary courage and leadership during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan earned him the Medal of Honor, the first awarded to a Navy service member since Vietnam.
A Penn State graduate, “Murph” embodied the quiet professionalism and unbreakable spirit of America’s special operations forces. On June 27–28, 2005, Murphy led a four-man SEAL reconnaissance team deep into the Hindu Kush mountains on a mission to locate a high-level Taliban leader. Ambushed by a vastly superior enemy force, the four man team fought a desperate, hours-long battle against overwhelming odds (immortalized in the movie “Lone Survivor”)
Running low on ammunition and with communications failing due to terrain, Murphy made the fateful decision to move into an open, exposed area to transmit a situation report and call for extraction. Deliberately drawing enemy fire while wounded, he calmly provided coordinates and continued fighting until he was mortally wounded. His actions allowed his team to be located.
Tragically, the quick reaction force (QRF) helicopter dispatched as part of the rescue effort during Operation Red Wings, an MH-47 Chinook carrying 8 additional Navy SEALs and 8 Army Night Stalkers, was shot down by a Taliban RPG, killing all 16 aboard. This remains the single worst loss of life in Naval Special Warfare history.
Murphy’s selfless gallantry enabled critical information to get out and gave his surviving teammates a fighting chance. For his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor by President George W. Bush in 2007.
The Navy named the guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) in his honor, and the annual “Murph” workout challenges thousands in his memory.
Lt. Michael P. Murphy represents the very best of our warfighters: courage under fire, loyalty to his brothers, and unyielding commitment to duty. In an age that sometimes forgets the cost of freedom, his story, and the sacrifice of those who came to rescue his team, calls us to remember and honor those who run toward the sound of gunfire. 🇺🇸

God will never stop crossing the lake for you. (Mark 4&5)
Don't be afraid, just believe.-Jesus
God will never stop singing over you, watching and reaching out for you, wanting you, loving you.
God does not change.
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. (Isaiah 49:16)
🇺🇸 Stories of A250 🇺🇸
November 19, 1863.
Just four months after the Battle of Gettysburg, President Abraham Lincoln stood before a crowd and delivered a speech of only 272 words. In just two minutes, he reminded America what was at stake: not merely the survival of the Union, but the enduring promise that all people are created equal.
The Gettysburg Address transformed a battlefield into sacred ground and gave voice to America's highest ideals.
More than 160 years later, its call endures: that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.
