@richardludlow Yep. On THC I can go deeper much faster (with Samatha, non-dual investigation, and do-nothing) but it also makes me more easily distracted by thoughts.
@texas_earth @mesomundo@bayeslord Yes just pick any mantra, repeatedly recite it in your mind (it should feel effortless, almost like the mantra is just “happening” rather than effortfully saying it). When you notice yourself drifting into distraction, gently come back to the mantra
@selentelechia Yes for me it feels like leaning back and letting the object wash over me. Becoming receptive to the object instead of trying to hold it in my awareness
@keepthedevil@QiaochuYuan Sure I might look into it afterwards but that doesn’t change the initial aesthetic experience. Music just has to sound good, regardless of where it came from
@TylerAlterman@nosilverv I think most music can be thought of in terms of tension and release. The tension makes the release feel more blissful and satisfying.
