Be water, my friend.
The algorithm on X is ever-changing.
To be successful, you must change with it.
After weeks of experimentation and research...
Here are 6 tricks to make the algorithm work for you 👇
.
See what I just did? That's the first trick:
1) Add suspense by cutting off your posts short.
• The trick here is to add blank spaces after the introduction to get to the 280 character limit.
• Building suspense keeps readers engaged. The longer people read your posts the better they will perform.
2) Prioritize longform posts over 🧵.
• They perform better.
• It's that simple.
3) Turn OFF sensitize media.
• Under settings -> privacy -> content you see, uncheck the box for displaying sensitive media.
• This will prevent you from interacting with flagged accounts, which could deboost you.
4) When using links, ONLY put them in the replies.
• X does not like outside links.
• Including them in a reply to your post prevents your original post from having a drop in engagement.
5) Use engaging graphics or videos
• Once again, the longer people stay on your post, the better it will perform.
• Graphics and videos are both great ways to encourage this.
6) Speak from the heart.
• The biggest and most influential accounts on X all connect to their audiences.
• They do this by sharing failures, life experience, wisdom.
• Don't be afraid to get personal. We are all human. Chances are your message will resonate with many others.
There is a lot of advice on how to best appease the algorithm. However, I spent the time to find what I believe are the 6 BEST tricks.
